Serious lack of communication
Due to poor management and an insufficient electrical system, we were left without AC on the main floor. And there were no instructions for the house.
The AC is small portable units in the bedrooms and then a larger one for the entire downstairs. When we arrived FRIDAY, the downstairs unit and outlet did not work. I left Darryl a voicemail and text. Got no response. So we took the unit and moved it into a room where the electric was working- but soon after the power went off there too, and the cord was burning hot. The unit was too powerful for this home’s electrical system. We had no access to the breakers and the house was an absolute sweat box as outside temps topped 90.
Darryl responded on SUNDAY claiming he did not see my messages or voicemail. He sent someone to fix the breaker for one wall. The unit worked but the cord became very hot which is a clear sign of danger so we turned the unit off to avoid fire.
Sunday night when I return to the house, my bedroom door was locked (all the bedrooms have a keypad but the codes were not given to us). I called Darren and he told me that there were keys in a fishbowl in a kitchen cabinet. There was no way we could have known this since no instructions to the house were left for us.
I had a discussion with Darryl about my concerns regarding the electric. The unit there is too powerful for the existing electricity and is a safety issue. He disagreed. I also told him how unhappy I was that it took him so long to res
