We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed our time there. The view is stunning, but there is no water access from the backyard. There is a significant drop / sea wall and no dock, ramp, or beach to access water. I didn’t realize this before our arrival.
The kitchen has been updated and is nicely stocked. I appreciated the stainless steel cookware and glass dishes. The dishwasher and laundry were convenient and in good working order. The owner let me know the freezer was leaking before our arrival, but I didn’t notice any leaks, however it was impossible to even open the freezer door more than a few inches.
The indoor gas fireplace was so nice to use in the evening, as was the outdoor fire pit.
You can park in the garage, and the house is close to lots of sights and places to enjoy the outdoors. We went to Brimley State Park and a nearby roadside beach out past Iroquois Point.
Yes, the deck is in desperate need of repair / replacement. It didn’t bother me though, as I spent most of my time in the chairs in the yard (mid July there were only 3, one was broken in the garage).
The inside was very clean, but those big windows are also in desperate need of help. I was tempted to get a broom and hose and do it myself, but just watched the ginormous spiders spin their webs instead.
VBRO says you’ll get check in info 3 days before, so I reached out 2 days before arrival and the owner let me know that they give check in info 24 hours before arrival.
8/10 would recommend
