"The apartment is charming and in the most beautiful spot with views over the island and swimming in the lake from the garden. Stefano could not have been more helpful and provided extensive information to cover every aspect of our stay. The apartment is only a 5 minute walk from the town. No aircon but Stefano provided us with fans to cool us at night. We loved our time in Orta - it is a very special place indeed."

"Je wordt hartelijk ontvangen door Aline en Dominic, zeer vriendelijke gastheer en dame die je alles uitleggen en veel tips over de omgeving geven. Het huis, dat stamt uit de 18e eeuw, is perfect gerenoveerd en heerlijk koel in de zomer. Het huis heeft veel ruimte en is van alle gemakken voorzien. De tuin is een een kleine oase en er is ruimte om je auto veilig binnen de poort te parkeren (mits je niet een te grote auto rijdt, wij rijden een Peugeot 308 en dat ging prima). "The apartment is like a 1970s time capsule! We were a bit shocked at first, but it is super clean and in great shape. There is a washer if you need it and a kitchen with everything you need. The porch is huge with gorgeous views of the lake. As far as I know, there is no wifi. I reached out and never heard back. There also is no shower, but there is a tub with a shower head on a hose. "Die Wohnung ist gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet, die Hausherrin sehr herzlich und nett. Der Straßenlärm hielt sich in Grenzen, wenn man den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist, stört das wenig, zu Stoßzeiten aber schon merklich. Einziger wirklicher Kritikpunkt ist, dass die Wohnung ein wenig feucht ist, was zur Folge hat, dass die Möbel und damit der Raum modrig riecht. Auch die Schränke innen müffeln leider deutlich. Die Terrasse bietet einen herrlichen Ausblick auf den Lago und lädt zum Verweilen...

"Good place to stay if your'e on a budget and want to be quite central in Lugano. You have a small balcony with the view of concrete walls. Sleeping in the sofa/bed works but of course not the best. If you are on the heavier side, you will feel the steel pipes on your back. Internet via Wifi did not work at all, sent a mail to the owner the same day I arrived, three days later still not working, however 5G worked really good, I had over 300 Mbit over 5G. "Beautiful wood house with all it's beautiful imperfections! Kids loved the upper room. House had all that one would need to cook meals and breakfast. Located in a small beautiful village.
