Beautifully decorated with hand made quilts. Exceptionally clean. Welcoming space with good storage options for a guestā€™s traveling items. Comfortable beds. Serene surroundings with woods and flower gardens. Very short drive to John C Campbell craft school.

Jan and Greg were kind and respectful hosts, and I appreciated the peace and tranquility their rental provided while attending blacksmithing classes at J.C.C.F.S. I especially enjoyed watching the deer stroll by while enjoying my morning coffee.coffee

Stayed for John C Campbell Folk School class

No, I did not get a kick-back for this review. Everything was exactly as shown/described in the listing. But that did not do justice to the quality of the furnishings, cookware, and the meticulous construction. Special shout-out to the hosts. We had some unexpected bad weather came through with the potential for worse. The house is at the top of a fairly steep driveway, and we had the potential for icing. Greg advised "If there is any concern about going down the hill in the morning, I will take you to class in my 4-wheel drive truck, and come get you at the end of the day." Fortunately wasn't necessary but wanted to recognize the commitment. Thank you both.

My hosts were very helpful when I got up Thursday morning to drive to the folk school and my truck wouldn't start. They let me extend my stay by one night and even volunteered to get me to and from my class.I would not hesitate to stay with them again.

Charming Cottage

Quiet Oasis

This cottage is perfect for a quiet get away. The owners are delightful and they communicated driving directions and the check in process exceptionally well. I loved getting away from it all as the cottage did not have a TV or internet. Phone service was perfect, though. If you are taking a class at the John C. Campbell Folk School, this cottage is only a five minute drive and an adorable find. The cottage was spotless, seemed newly renovated, and the kitchen was well stocked. Would absolutely come back.

Great little cabin on the mountain.

5. You have a beautiful little cabin and a great deal for the price. I loved sitting and looking out at the woods and trees. The cabin in so clean and fresh I thought it was a brand new construction. The location was ideal for all kinds of field trips durning the day. Thank you for such a treasure.

Great feng shui, a perfect stay!

I will begin by mentioning that the pictures do not do justice for this property. The owner has taken great care to assure that each guest has everything they need. There are numerous extras that are quite generous in nature. Whether it be snacks or just special little details. The guesthouse is well appointed with very thoughtful furnishings. The mattresses are high-quality and very comfortable. I appreciated the wonderful soft cotton sheets. I usually find that microfiber sheets are the norm when I stay at other places. The towels are large, fluffy, and the water tastes, sweet and pure. The majority of the guesthouse is covered in windows that look out onto a serene, natural setting. The walls are decorated with beautiful quilts crafted by the owner. it is quite clear that this owner takes Guest comfort and happiness. very seriously. If I hadnā€™t known otherwise, I would have sworn I was the first to stay here. The check-in process was seamless and easy. The host is friendly, helpful , and was quick to assist when I was unable to use the electronic door code. The guesthouse sits a top a small mountain, the drive up is not difficult. Parking is a breeze on this property. There are only the two small porch steps and a short walk from your vehicle to the front door. This guest house is located in a convenient spot for those that might attend The John C Campbell Folk School. There is even a walking trail if you prefer not to drive to the camp. I recommend renting here!
