House was Great. Host was not Premier.
We arrived on Friday evening. The house was clean and in a nice neighborhood. However, the internet and streaming TV service was not working. I made a call to Vacasa, who was based in Oregon to see if we could fix the problem quickly. We went through all the obvious issues, it did not resolve the problem. It was the big east basketball finals weekend, I really wanted to watch the games and relax in the beautiful living room. This did not happen. After making numerous calls to Vacasa to get this issue fixed, nothing happened because the local Vacasa host did not work on the weekends! I was told they would reimburse me $20.00 per day since I had no internet and TV. So I expected to receive a $60.00 credit from Vacasa. This has not happen as of this date. I received a call back from Vacasa representative who asked if I knew how to operate a smart TV. I told him yes and that there was zero internet service at the home on any device. It was a bit insulting. I was told a local rep would be there on Monday to investigate the problem. So much for watching the Big East finals! I was very disappointed at the long distance service offered by the host. It turned out the the local Vacasa host knew there was an electrical problem in the garage that knocked out the internet box. He ran an extension cord to another part of the house and we finally had internet and TV after 3 days! A premier host would not let you down for 3 days by not being available to immediately fix a serious problem.
