"This place was so nice. Nicer then my old apartment. The area was beautiful and so much to explore in the area. We stayed in summer and also took the gondola and enjoyed the alpin slides!"

"We loved staying here. The staff are all helpful and friendly. Even if the decor is outdated as some reviews mention, the rooms and property are immaculate! We’ve never stayed anywhere that every square inch of the room and bathroom were this clean. This hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to downtown Grand Marais. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you!! "

"I didn't LOVE that the check-in/host was off-duty by 9 pm, but I followed the instructions for a late check in and my key was exactly where they said it would be. "

"Bed was a bit hard for my taste but the pillows were wonderful. Breakfast is a bare minimum. Cereal, toast, bagels, precooked pancakes. Very good deal for the price."

"Friendly staff, decent prices especially for the area and time of year. No good protein choices for breakfast - challenging for a diabetic (but im mostly prepared for that). Enjoyed the back patio and views. We will keep this hotel in mind for future trips."
