Newly Remodeled Borrego Springs Desert Getaway

The minimalist decor within this desert getaway unit (within a duplex) is the retreat everyone needs and deserves. Even though the unit is located on Borrego Springs Road, and you may hear some street noise, the bedroom is located far enough to allow for a restful evening. As you know between 8 pm-morning there are few cars on the streets in Borrego…Don’t delay in getting your self-care and R&R…

It has been a joy to decorate the 550 square feet unit with furnishings from West Elm, Crate & Barrel, CB2, etc. Also, there are 2 mini-splits, 2 smart tvs, WIFI, Cable tv, fire pit, full kitchen…

The village of Borrego Springs is recognized as a designated International Dark Sky Community by the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA). There are no stop lights in Borrego Springs and nighttime lighting is kept to a minimum to protect the views of the night sky. Borrego Springs is approximately 90 miles (140 km) from downtown San Diego and the lights of the highly developed California coast. Borrego Springs was designated as California's first International Dark-Sky Community by the International Dark-Sky Association. It is a center for public astronomy activities throughout the year.

My plan was for my dog and I to have a silent 4th of July. This place was just the ticket. Clean, cool (it was 114° outside), and QUIET. Would definitely stay here again.

House was great, comfortable and clean. The only negative is if you have a dog, it’s very difficult for them to walk outside to pee, lotta weeds and vegetation so we had to walk the dog up to the road which was a bit inconvenient and the road is very busy otherwise loved the place

A wonderful quick trip to the desert
We came for the superbloom that never happened haha. But enjoyed our 2 days in the desert hiking and riding ATVs. The home was clean, well-decorated - looks recently renovated. Kitchen was user-friendly. Well-stocked with herbs and seasonings for cooking. Plenty of plates, utensils, cups, etc. A few snacks and 2 bottles of water were left along with coffee. Bath had nice towels and had shampoo/soap/conditioner. Backyard had comfy chairs a firepit and a good walking area to take our 2 small dogs. Was wonderful to be able to bring our dogs. Great heat/AC that worked well and digital TV so we can watch our Netflix. Would highly recommend!

Lovely bright spot for desert exploration
We loved this newly renovated duplex, absolutely perfect for our first trip to Anza Borrego. Nancy has thought of everything for the kitchen, grill and fire pit, and we loved watching the stars each night. Comfy beds and lovely tile floors, a really super rental experience, very clean and highly recommended!

Great second visit
Second visit at this property and another great experience. Visited to do some star gazing and astrophotography, the fenced in backyard offers excellent views of the night sky in all directions. Had some issues with the lock and Nancy was very communicative and had someone out to help with the problem immediately. Love staying at this property, it is prefect for 2 people (and a dog!)

Great Weekend Stay
Was a nice place to relax with our dogs. We were able to do some stargazing in the enclosed backyard. It was close to the main street of town. If your dogs need grass to do their business, there is a public park within a couple min drive. We would stay here again if we come back to Anza Borrego.

We stayed at property for two nights. Was perfect for the two of us. We liked the minimalist decoration. No clutter. Would return again or suggest to others. Price was very reasonable. Though there were people in the other side of duplex, we never heard them.

Nice little place in the desert
Perfect place for a couple of people. Town isn't that lively but there are natural and man-made attractions. The place is nicely furnished with just about everything you need... There's Wi-Fi, a couple of wall mounted tv's, kitchen appliances, etc. You could easily just bring some of your favorites to eat and not have to eat out.. There's a gas BBQ and a nice, little backyard with a fire pit. Highly recommend.

Great little place!
Beautiful, well-maintained house with everything you need. The outdoor space is a big plus, with chairs perfect for viewing the night sky & fire pit if you want to make your own stars. Road noise is noticeable during the day but no problem at night.

Enjoyable stay
This was a great little place in Borrego Springs. It was east to find, exactly as advertised, nice little fenced in backyard with table and fire pit, very clean. Communication with owner was great. I recommended to small family of 4 or just a couple wanting to enjoy Borrego Springs. Pretty close to everything in town. I look forward in staying again in the future.

Stayed here over a weekend to do some stargazing. This is a very cute clean space with a kitchen suitable for making small meals. Close to the main strip and sightseeing attractions. Nancy is communicative and provided clear instructions for checking in. Would definitely stay here again. Dog friendly.

This place was exactly what you see in pictures. Beautiful, well equipped and comfy bed. It’s well appointed and the space is utilized well. It’s in a great location and close to everything you’d want to do or see in Borrego.

Nice clean duplex very close to town and Christmas Tree Circle
We are two seniors with a small dog who really enjoyed our stay at this property. Someone talked about traffic noise from the main road but we barely noticed it...even when one of us ended up sleeping on the fold-away couch in the living room for a night. (No, we didn't have a fight...just couldn't sleep and decided to read...hee...hee) The duplex had everything we needed and if there was something overlooked (kitchen towel and sponge) it was brought to us very quickly. It was clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed seeing the stars at night. We would stay there again!

Good stay for our weekend in Borrego Springs - very convenient to Anza Borrego, place is well decorated, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Host had detailed instructions for tv, AC and appliances.
