Beautiful 3BR RIVERFRONT log cabin HOT TUB, GAMEROOM, WI-FI and open loft with queen bed. This log cabin rental features a fireplace, covered porch, detached gazebo overlooking the cascading waters of the New River. Primary bedroom with king bed and flat screen tv on main level. Two King bedrooms upstairs with their own tv, including one in the loft area. This home offers an ideal layout for a family to enjoy time together yet feel they have their own space. Detached Game room with foosball and dart board.

Relaxing Retreat
The cabin was well equipped and comfortable and the game room was lots of fun for kids and adults! Listening to the river was relaxing and just what we needed to unwind.

Girls trip
Some friends dropped their babies off to college. This was our pouty party. The house and stay was phenomenal. Only complaint is no trash service. Very difficult to have to find a dumpster for garbage.

Great getaway
We enjoyed staying at this property during the Thanksgiving holiday. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed being right by the water and use of the hot tub. We would definitely consider this house again in the future. Thank you!

RELAXING TIME
The cabin was very relaxing and quit, love the sound of the river below and watching the fall leaves fall from the trees when the wind blow. Most of all we got time to spend with my daughter and grandson. Thank you.

Pleasant surprise
We thoroughly enjoy being right on the river and having a porch and gazebo that overlooked water. Nice amenities were the hot tub and the game room. Will definitely book this place again.

Absolutely loved this cabin!!
We had the best time staying here! The hot tub was lovely in the evenings, and you’re not far from Boone when you want to order snacks. The paved driveway proved nice to play for corn hole and the toddlers to play. My husband and oldest son enjoyed playing in the river (access is a little shotty but can be easily fixed) the house was super clean on the inside and kitchen was stocked extremely well. The only flaw I had was I was never sent the lock code for the door and there is NO cell signal up there so I had to come the 10 minutes back down to text the after hours number for a response to get in! Overall, we will be back!

Christmas On The River
Beautiful property with all the amenities! You do need to put up a Christmas tree or some other holiday adornments during the Holidays! I bought my own tree after you said you do not decorate. Grown children said they were glad I did or else it would not have felt like the holidays, especially being there before , during and after Christmas. We will rent again! Happy New Year!

Wedding Vacation
We stayed here when we came to North Carolina for our Nephew's wedding in Jefferson. Our three sons and their wives and our two grandchildren stayed with us. We loved the coziness of the cabin and the location. We enjoyed time outdoors in the river, on the porch and in the gazebo. There was plenty of room for all of us. We enjoyed home cooking and having access to the washer and dryer with two toddlers. Thanks for making us feel at home.

Perfect for Family
This was our second year in a row renting this property. We loved it so much last year, we couldn't wait to come and relax by the river again. The hot tub has worked great during both of our stays and we were pleasantly surprised to find that the TV's in all bedrooms and living room had been upgraded this year to Roku TV's so we could log in to all our favorite streaming services for those rainy afternoons that kept us inside. We also found that the string of porch lights to be a Bluetooth speaker that allowed us to enjoy music on the porch--not that you need it when the sound of the river rippling by is so relaxing. The rental process both times was easy, and Wendy was very responsive and easy to work with. We hope to make it an annual tradition!

Idyllic & Tranquil Mountain Getaway
We were greeted by the most beautiful vibrant red and yellow-leaves trees upon entry and as we wound our way down to park by the rental, the river provided the perfect bush to our getaway weekend. Immediately we were sold. We did have trouble getting into the cabin as our code did not work and we had to drive back into town to get service to speak with somebody about it, but the town of Boone is only about 30 minutes away. Once we got inside, everything provided enough room to be close to our friends staying with us without being in each other’s way. It was a great stay, overall. You are required to take your own trash to the waste center that’s about 20 minutes away, but it’s a pretty drive. I do wish; however, that it was noted that the waste center is not open until 1PM on Sundays and checkout is at 11AM. That proved a bit frustrating. All in all, I would recommend this rental, though!

Could of been cleaner
The cabin was in a wonderful location right on the New River. On arrival we found the hotub to be disgustingly filthy. The leasing office sent someone out the next day to clean it but t never heated up to a decent temp for our stay. The rental agency said they would give us a credit but that never happened. The range top griddle did not look very good, we chose not to use it. The garage game room smelled of mildew, our children did not even want to play in it. Thereweresome small pieces of junk scattered outside of the property. It is a pity that the place was not better cared for. All in all, the rest of the cabin was nice and we enjoyed our time their. We would have considered a return visit there with hopes the issues had been corrected. But the lack of follow through of a credit for the hot tub/cabin cleaning fee was also a disappointed, so I doubt we will return in the future.

Great cabin, Great location.
I would have to agree that the pictures for this cabin do not do it justice. The cabin was in good shape and nicely appointed with everything we needed. I was a little shocked by the comments from folks who thought it was only adequate as a fisherman's cabin. Next time they might want to stay at the Grove Park Inn. It was clean and no issues with the provided linens as mentioned by others. It took us a little while to find the little black switch for the gas logs that is located on the right front lower corner of the gas log grate. Our two boys ages 15 and 12 loved being by the water and braved the 58 degree water temp to play in the river. We enjoyed the game room and hot tub. The location was beautiful. There are a few other cabins that share the same area of the river, but that was not really a problem for us. The mornings and evening were always very peaceful. So if you don't want to see other people while you are on your "get away" this might not be for you. We would definitely consider returning.

Rustic fishing cabin
This place is more like going to Grandpa's fishing cabin for a visit. What we were expecting was a comfortable, rustic cabin. It was rustic, but it wasn't comfortable. First the good stuff: The river is beautiful. No long range views, but the river is clear and pretty. The kitchen has a Viking range and griddle and a small granite counter top island (totally not expecting this - not necessary, but nice). The hot tub was a lot fun for our teenagers. The rock fireplace is beautiful. The place was not dusty and overall seemed clean. The downsides: The beds were uncomfortable, (the King was okay, but it shares a bathroom upstairs with 2 other rooms), the loft bedroom doesn't have a side table or lamp, the pillows are old and stained, there were plenty of towels, but some were old and stained, the living room doesn't have a coffee table or side tables, there is no view from inside the house, the main living area downstairs including the kitchen is dark, there was litter on the grounds, the griddle on the Viking was not clean, the pantry door was off the hinges, the pantry itself was in disarray and dirty, the fireplace starter was completely un-wired (we re-wired it so the fireplace would work). There was limited WiFi that allowed texting only - no internet or telephone calls. The hot tub is completely exposed to the road - no privacy. Finally, get a total price on this cabin while you are considering it along side others - they do not offer a refundable deposit, instead charging an insurance fee plus a VRBO fee on top of the listed price. We thought we were getting a deal but this turned out to be the same price as a much nicer place that includes these added fees in the advertised price. This cabin has tons of potential - it sorely needs updates and an advertised nightly rate inclusive of add-on fees. As is, it would be perfect for a group of fishermen who don't care about any of that stuff.

Didn't meet expectations but still nice
When we first arrived, we pulled up to the wrong location. I called the main office and left a message saying we couldn't find the key box. Thankfully we realized we had gone one house too far because my call was never returned. Once we got to the correct house, we got in just fine. We were mostly pleased with the cabin but there were a few issues. It was cold inside when we got there, so we wanted to get the gas fire going right away. There were instructions that we followed but to no avail. We also did some troubleshooting but still could not get it to work. Also, there was a wireless internet connection and we found the code but it gave an error message as if the bill had not been paid. The landline phone also said it could only be used for emergencies. Lastly, one upstairs bedroom smelled very strongly of men's cologne and gave us the impression the sheets had been slept in and not washed. All that being said, we really enjoyed our trip. I would just double check these issues before checking in. The hot tub was great and so was the porch. It is right on the water and has great views. most of our party agreed the beds were really comfortable. The kitchen and refrigerator were clean and stocked with basic pans etc. I would rent here again but would make sure the problems were addressed.

Exactly what we were looking for!
We had a family trip to play in the snow & that is exactly what we got. About a foot of snow fell while we were there. The neighborhood roads made for great sledding. The property was right on the river, which was gorgeous & made us look into coming back to this house in the summer. It was a nice surprise that internet was added since the listing of the house. Sitting in the living room warming up by the fire was so cozy. The only things we wanted to bring up were the cob webs & although it was great that towels were supplied, they smelled strongly like cigarette smoke. Overall the house & the experience was amazing & we plan to be back this summer.

Great Location for a Christmas Tree Hunt
The Cabin is in a great location for the Boone area Cut-your-own Christmas tree farms. The roads to the cabin would be a little tricky if there were snow on the ground, but luckily we had clear, warmish weather. The cabin is situated right along the South Fork of the New River with great views. The cabin is very spacious. I just wish there were some reading lights in the living room.
