Built in 1870 by the first homesteaders on this Ottawa Valley farm, the earliest incarnation would have been as a small barn but it was turned into a charming guest house reflecting the German heritage of the current owners. With a living room, kitchen, three-piece bath, bedroom and separate loft area with a double bed, there is enough room for four comfortably. Ideal for families or couples traveling together, it is decorated to reflect both the German heritage of the original owners and some East Tennessee touches from the family tree.
There is a private bedroom with a queen bed, a loft with a double bed and a small (twin) loveseat pull out couch. The bedroom and loft are upstairs and the bathroom, kitchen, living/dining area are downstairs.
The chalet is on the property of a working plant nursery, Gerber's Nursery. It is across from the main house and provides privacy in a beautiful setting.
