"The property is a beautiful old house in a delightful historic village. The owner has decorated it with taste and style and everything is of the finest quality. The owner also goes to a lot of trouble to make your stay comfortable, providing breakfast early for us before we headed to the airport and phoning the village pub to see if they had a table before our arrival. I couldn't recommend it highly enough - 10 out of 10 is just not enough!"

"Yes, the hotel is a little dated but it is clean and comfortable. The room we were in needs some refreshing but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth staying. Meals in the restaurant/pub were very delicious. It is about half hour from Inverness but that means the area is very quiet. The hotel overlooks the bay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. "

"Nice clean pub rooms. Small but secure with refurbed bathrooms. Warm and quite comfortable. A pretty standard double bed but still sleep worthy. Staff were very helpful and happy to assist. No lifts as stated but we were able to leave most of our luggage in the car. Dinner is limited as the cook called in sick but there’s a few budget options nearby. Just avoid the kebabs. Great location to visit the Fyrish monument. Value for money this stay. "

Also we took breakfast with the room and when we checked out, and I checked the bill, they charged for herbal tea, this was never explained to us. The lady at the reception took this charge off. "

"The property is lovely this includes the grounds and the cottages. The service was not great. We had to call to inquire about breakfast no one let us know how this worked. "This is one of those special places that is worth the trek. Once you step foot into the front door it feels as if you’ve stepped back into a different time. The finishes are all rich and appropriate and the town itself is adorable. Service is outstanding, bed was delicious and would go out of my way to stay here again!! True luxe on a small scale!
