What I did not realize was the porch with the two twin beds was only screened in. Since this was the case we had a couple folks sleeping on couches. Other than that it was wonderful. "

The setting is beautiful - plenty of outdoor spots to take in the views. We saw deer and turkeys every morning! "Waterford is far enough away from Washington, but close enough to make a weekend getaway easy. And staying at Scarlet Springs Farm for the weekend was truly the icing on the cake. And Laura and her family made our stay even better. The house is well appointed - fantastic kitchen, comfy beds, beautiful views from back deck. This is a wonderful location to visit so many interesting vineyards, farm stands, nurseries, and some very nice restaurants in Purcellville. We look forward to visiting...

Space nicely laid out with everything you need, and it is minutes from the artsy, small stores and intimate restaurants in town, Shepherd University, the path along the C and O Canal, the Sunday morning farmers market, and much more! Folks who live in Shepherdstown are naturally friendly, helpful, and so welcoming to visitors. A great place to chill or be more active and simply get a refreshing g break....
