"This was a last min trip so it was a lot of info to gather in less a day but we did it and we made the ferry on time and we got here on a very hot and humid day. The ferry ride was fun and the dog didn’t seem to mind it. We should have mapped out where the house was better because when we arrived we were walking with our suitcases and dog and it was hot! We did finally arrive and the house was just as described. The water was right behind the house and the island was so peaceful. We relaxed...

"We loved the location of this home. It’s within walking distance of many places and an easy drive to the beach. There was plenty of room for our family of five. The neighborhood is very quaint and quiet. Communication with the owner could not have been smoother. She was extremely responsive and couldn’t have been more accommodating. We enjoyed a lovely week there and would stay again."

"We arrived on a Sunday night and checked out on Friday. Our stay at Blue Town Tidehome was incredible to say the least. We found the property far exceeded our expectations. So much was included with the property, including lawn chairs, kayaks, boogie boards, bikes, etc. The communication with the owners was excellent and very timely. We would definitely recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking for a great place to stay. "

The house is furnished with antiques, collectibles, and heirloom furniture - not your typical rental house! While the house is enjoyably extra, the management, Island Getaways is a bare minimum type manager. You have to request bed sheets (and return them to the office when you check out), don't get any towels (only beach towels were mentioned as a bring your own in the listing), single ply toilet...
