This Scandinavian-inspired cabin, nestled in a quiet spot on Misty Mountain, is just minutes away from spectacular mountain trails and scenery, skiing, golfing, and Blowing Rockā€™s quaint shops and restaurants.

The Dala House is newly renovated, beautifully decorated, and generously stocked with top-of-the-line amenities to ensure your comfort and convenience. We welcome you to our familyā€™s ā€œpeaceful place,ā€ with the goal that you leave the Great Smoky Mountains smiling and fulfilled.

ā€¢ Master Suite: Spacious downstairs suite features a King mattress by Thread & Needle, organic sheets, sitting area and TV. Adjoining bath invites relaxation with soaking tub, shower for two, hairdryer, herbal hair products and handmade soaps.
ā€¢ Two upstairs bedrooms, one with a Queen mattress and one with a Twin-over-Full bunk bed. Both rooms feature top quality mattresses and organic sheets.
ā€¢ Upstairs couch converts to a comfortable Full Bed with organic sheets.
ā€¢ Upstairs guests share a well-appointed full bath with tub/shower, hairdryer, herbal hair products and handmade soaps.

More than expected!!

The only reason I gave 5 stars is because that is the highest I could go :-). From beginning to end our experience was exceptional. The host was very engaging and answered any questions that I had. My brothers, both renovate homes, kept marveling at the craftsmanship of the house. A lot of attention to detail. We lacked nothing.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Wonderful mountain getaway!

Stephanie is a great host! Very easy accesible and attentive! Their home is gorgeous and very thoughtfully decorated. They take a lot of pride and care in this space. It is close to town and you still feel miles away from civilization. The working fireplace and the gorgeous views were very memorable! We highly recommend their home/)

A beautiful cabin!

We loved our stay here. Very convenient to Blowing Rock and the cabin was wonderful! So many little touches that made it feel more like home. Our kids loved the bunk beds and provided games. Stephanie was easy to reach out to and quick to respond! We will definitely come back

Nice Cabin, Great Location

Very nice and spacious cabin in a quiet and very centralized location. Everything in the cabin is in very good condition. Well located, just a couple of miles from Blowing Rock and about 15 minutes from Boone (bigger chain stores available like Walmart, Walgreens, and chain restaurants). Road to cabin is tight but it is paved and is easy to get to. During my 7-day stay I never encountered any vehicular traffic while driving on the neighborhood road. The non-chain restaurants in Blowing Rock are awesome, specially the Specked Trout. There are not many amenities at the cabin (hot tub, pool table, video games, etc.) except for various video streaming services, but we spent most of our time out and about. There are numerous hiking spots all over the area. Three things that I would add to this cabin is a Keurig machine, some window curtains to the windows facing the street, and maybe a pool table. Other than that, I would say this is a near perfect cabin (with very nice hosts).

Great Four Day Weekend

This is an amazing property, perfect for a quick getaway with your spouse or the kids. Itā€™s beautifully decorated, stocked with everything you need and close to all major attractions you of the area. Hope I get the opportunity to stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Dala House near Blowing Rock. The cabin was clean, cozy, and well stocked. We loved the location near Blowing Rock, with easy access to Boone, the trails around Moses Cone, and many other hiking trails in the area.

Swedish themed "Dala House" was perfect for our family; ages ranging from 11 to 78. Nearby zip lines, canoeing, and rafting for the youngest; easy to moderate trail hiking and drives on the Blue Ridge Parkway for the oldest. We all enjoyed refreshing new experiences.

Perfect Mountain Get Away

We had the good fortune to spend several days at the Dala House. It was the perfect place for our multigenerational group! The house was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. In addition, the layout of the house provided the perfect blend of togetherness and privacy. Stephanie has missed her calling if she's not an interior decorator :) In addition to being beautiful the house was very functional. We found everything we needed to cook at home and for our grand children to stay safely and comfortably. The hosts provided so many thoughtful extras, especially for a family traveling with young children. If you stay, be sure to star view from the deck. Magical. We hope to return to this very special place.

Such a beautiful property, and a wonderful time! We went tubing at Hawksnest. Skiing at App, and rode the Alpine coaster prior to leaving for home! Perfect space for our family! Beautiful, clean and spacious! Will definitely return!

Beautiful Stay!

We so enjoyed the stay at this home! I loved the decor! Much different than any other country cabin I've ever stayed in. Little touched everywhere that let you know the owners wanted you to feel at home. Location was great. Good restaurants right at the bottom of the mountain in Blowing Rock! We'd definitely stay here again.
