Sweet and Secluded Log Home with Outdoor Hot Tub!

The Back to Nature cabin rental is a private log cabin surrounded by 17 secluded acres, and is a wonderful way to experience year round, spectacular views of the Yellowwood State Forest and Brown County wildlife. Back to Nature is the ideal place for your honeymoon, family vacation, girls weekend, or for a vacation with friends. It’s also perfect for the outdoor enthusiast who wants to take advantage of the neighboring horse trails and hiking trails. Lake Yellowwood is nearby for you to rent a rowboat or go fishing. This Brown County rental cabin is conveniently located halfway between Nashville and Bloomington, Indiana, a quarter mile off of State Road 46, and bordering the Yellowwood State Forest.

Important Things to Note:
This cabin sleeps up to eight guests. There is a nightly "base price" for the first two guests and then an extra $30 fee per guest/per night for each additional guest (above the age of three.)

This is a self-catering cabin, so you are advised to bring your own toiletries, paper products, trash bags, charcoal, locally purchased fire wood, etc. Linens, towels, and basic kitchenware and utensils are supplied.

You will be in wooded countryside that is also occupied by insects and wildlife and where weather related situations can occur. You are advised to use 4-wheel or all-wheel drive to access the cabin during winter weather.

Birthday Get Away!
Absolutely loved this place. Warm and cozy. Very secluded yet still close to town. Got our vitamin D in the early mornings in the hot tub surrounded by snow. Every room has a door with a deck. Will definitely come back with more family.

Awesome Seclusion!
The cabin was very secluded and just what we were looking for. We stayed during the biggest snow storm in years and basically got snowed in for a couple days. The owner was very accommodating and let us stay a few hours past check out and arranged for a plow to open up the private road back to the main road. Luckily we planned ahead and had plenty of supplies. We took advantage of the seclusion to just "get away" from the world. The cabin had basic satellite and I wish we would've thought to bring our own firestick or Roku for better streaming options. We also spent time playing pool and darts. The fireplace was nice and with the decorated Christmas tree in the living room the cabin looked straight out of a Hallmark Christmas movie...Would definitely recommend four wheel or all wheel drive if you are staying during a blizzard!

The cabin was exactly as pictured. The rooms were all very large and had all the necessary furniture. Overall, the cabin was clean. However, I am a clean freak so it could use some deep cleaning. Peter brought me a new broom with a bow that I really appreciated! If you are looking for a large spacious cabin in the woods with everything you need then the Back-to-Nature cabin fits the bill.

Amazing cabin!! Beautiful and clean on the inside, the wrap around porch lets you see all the beauty the property. Felt very safe. Peter (the owner) did stop by to welcome us and showed us how to use the gas fireplace. The only two things that might help future guests, is to label the lights in the cabin. We kept flipping on/off lights but it made us laugh and the second is to have a light in the ceiling going down the stairs, it's kinda dark going down the steps then turning on the light. Had a great stay and will return!!

Good for our purposes
We were in Brown County for a girls weekend. Mostly just to catch up, celebrate my birthday and spend a day shopping. The cabin overall was very good. Great layout, as pictured and good for our purposes. Just a couple of things: The mattress in the main floor bedroom needs to be replaced. Extremely saggy on one side. One person slept there(on the other side) so no biggie. Just needs to be considered for your next guests. There is a pool table in the loft, no balls? We didn't play, obviously, but would have been nice to have the option. We had an issue with the living room TV. Peter by his own admission was little to no help. That said, He did offer to come by the next day if we couldn't figure it out. Luckily we had an aerospace engineer to figure it out. HaHa! We were able to watch the IU vs Michigan game so all turned out ok. All and all, I believe we would return. Had what we needed and was close to downtown Brown County. Communication was good

Great stay very recommended
The cabin was amazing. It was one of the cleanest cabins we have stayed in. It is very secluded. We couldnt have asked for a better stay. We met the owner he was super nice and was very willing to help with anything which everything went perfect so no help needed. Would highly recommend this cabin. Thanks again

Really nice property
Very nice property. Clean and well maintained. Kitchen appliances & carpet seemed almost new. Furniture was in good shape. Communication with owner was excellent. Very positive experience. Only negative....Mattresses could stand to be replaced. You could see the dips in the mattresses from use. We would stay again and recommend.

Proximity way off
The proximity of this cabin to Nashville is way way off base. It’s actually a 20 min drive to Hard Truth and Nashville, not 4 min as stated. We picked this location because of the proximity so that was disappointing. The pool table and dart board aren’t functional—broken cue sticks and the darts don’t go into the board. The request is to put all of your dishes away, but there was no dish soap and we had no dish towels. We arrived thinking loading and starting the dishwasher would be enough—so we had to wash the breakfast dishes with hand soap and dry them with paper towels. Beautiful location, cabin was very clean, Suzanne was helpful and responsive.

Property was nice, very clean inside. But...stated had a game room...it consisted of two pool sticks with no tips (busted) and most the darts for the dart board had none, or busted tips. Otherwise...we enjoyed our stay

Great space and great location
This house has great space for a group of adults. The 3 bathrooms and bedrooms were a luxury for our group of 5. A few cleanliness issues but overall it was fine. The hot tub was great and the kitchen was adequately equipped. If there were 8 people as advertised, you may be short on plates/glasses and the table only seats 6. Brown Co State Park is close and the hiking is surprisingly good for Indiana! We would definitely go back.

Golden girls birthday getaway

This cabin was the perfect place for me and my families to spend Christmas! It was roomy and cozy. We had a great time! The host emailed to ensure everything was good and was very responsive even during the holiday. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat!
