The Space:

This luxury home is mountain living at its finest. Escape the hustle and bustle of urban life and immediately feel a sense of peace as you walk into our modern, bright, and luxurious take on classic log cabin vibes. Enjoy 360-degree breathtaking views of the Arapaho National Forest throughout the house, including from the upper and lower oversized decks.

There is no shortage of places to spread out in this home, with five bedrooms, four bathrooms, two living rooms, two decks, and a basement. You will love sleeping under the mountain sky, waking up refreshed and ready for a day of adventure. Play pool and catch a sports game on any of the Smart TVs that are in each bedroom and living room in basement, or hit the workout room for those who don’t want to miss a day in the gym! Then, head outside from the basement walk-out to the firepit for a relaxing evening under the stars.

You’re less than ten minutes away from Black Hawk’s best casinos, eateries, bars, and spas. When you want a break from exploring the area, create a 5-star meal of your own in the fully equipped gourmet chef’s kitchen and complete a stay-in spa day with some quality time in the wooden-barrel sauna.

This home is a beauty and will be your next favorite stay for exploring all Black Hawk, and nearby areas have to offer! Black Hawk is the casino gaming capital of Colorado, with 17 casinos and over 200,000 square feet of gaming action. Available games run the gamut, from thousands of slot machines to blackjack, poker, craps, and roulette. The intimate size and historic feel of Black Hawk make it a fun place to gamble, with many casinos residing in historic buildings. When combined with modern amenities, the resulting atmosphere is truly unique. Although Black Hawk is a premiere destination for casino gambling, there are countless other activities for all types of travelers to enjoy during your visit!

If you’re looking for beautiful mountain scenery, breathtaking views, and perfect photo opportunities, a scenic drive is a must. The home is located right off of the Peak-to-Peak Highway (Highway 119 in Black Hawk), a 60 mile drive that was designated a CO Scenic Byway in 1918. It begins as CO Highway 7 in Estes Park, passes Lily Mountain, Twin Sisters, and Allenspark, then goes to Nederland, where it continues south on CO Highway 119, through Blackhawk and Clear Creek Canyon, down to I-70.

The home is nearby fantastic hiking and biking trails, including Golden Gate Canyon State Park, a short 10-minute drive away, and Black Hawk Peak, just 5 minutes away. Both are fantastic places to see the aspens changing color!
Soak in Western history at a museum, tempt your tastebuds at local restaurants, enjoy beautiful parks, bag a 14er and a National Park, or ski at world-class resorts. Guest Access:
Our guests will have access to the entire house, including the garage. In addition, we offer self-check-in for maximum independence and privacy.

There is ample parking for six vehicles in the driveway and two cars in the garage - no street parking.

The Neighborhood:
Black Hawk, CO

The town originated as a mining camp in 1859 as part of the Gold Rush. Since its gold strike of 1859, Black Hawk has endured beyond the boom and bust cycles of gold, coal, and stamp mills. Today, Black Hawk hosts a unique mix of authentic gold-mining history and modern-day hotels and casinos, all set against the unmatched scenic backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. Take a walking tour to discover the city's storied past, visit the casinos, and temp your taste buds at local eateries. In addition, there’s plenty to enjoy outdoors, with nearby fishing, hiking, biking, and skiing.

During the warm summer months, there is no better way to explore the beauty of Colorado’s landscape than by hiking or biking a nearby mountain trail. Black Hawk is minutes from Golden Gate Canyon State Park and dozens of trailheads along the front range.

If you’d rather enjoy the views from the comfort of your car, many scenic byways are a short drive from Black Hawk. Our favorites include the Peak-to-Peak Highway, Mount Evans Scenic Byway, Guanella Pass, and the Lariat Loop. The Lariat Loop is a little different from the first three, bringing you through the foothills of the towns of Golden, Evergreen, and Morrison, where you can explore a variety of open space parks, museums, and heritage sites, including the famous Red Rocks Amphitheater.

Depending on your destination, skiing is 30 minutes to 3 hours away. Head to a few of the locals favorite spots for a more low-key experience; You can be at Eldora Mountain in 30 minutes, and Loveland Ski Area and Echo Mountain in less than 1 hour. We’re also within a few hours of Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Aspen, and other snowy delights. There is a Nordic center near Breck if you want to try out cross-country skiing, and the summer months are a great time to rent a kayak to explore Dillon Reservoir.

Black Hawk is also nearby other destinations and towns worth checking out, including Central City, Idaho Springs, Rollinsville, Nederland, and Golden, and an hour from Rocky Mountain Mountain National Park.

Getting Around:
Black Hawk is situated in the mountains of Gilpin County at an elevation of over 8,500 feet. We recommend getting around by an AWD or 4WD vehicle in the mountains, especially during winter. There is plenty of free parking in Black Hawk and complimentary shuttle service throughout the town for ease of exploring the casinos, eateries, bars, and spas downtown.

If you are coming from Denver International Airport, you’ll take I-76 W to I-70 W across the Denver metro, taking exit 265 for CO-58W toward Golden/Central City. Then, hop on I-6 W/Clear Creek Canyon Rd to CO-119 to Aspen Lane!

The home is 40 miles west of Downtown Denver, which can be reached by taking Highway 119 to I-70 and then US-6. Highway 119 is the main North-to-South thoroughfare, intersecting with I-70, the main East-to-West artery into the mountains, popular ski areas, and Denver.

Highway 119 North will take you to Rollinsville, Nederland, Eldora Ski Area, Estes Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, and Boulder. Take Highway 119 South to get to Downtown Black Hawk and Golden, or take 119 to I-70 to explore the towns along the I-70 corridor, including Idaho Springs, Georgetown, Keystone, Breck, and more!

Mountain retreat with easy access to Blackhawk
We enjoyed the location and views. Easy to entertain children here. Lower level had no heat, bathroom toilet leaked continuously on the floor. Contacted management , who stated “ that’s odd”, but did nothing. Heat was not a problem because weather was good .

Our family vacation was amazing with this home to stay in there was plenty of room to spread out and have enough space for everyone. There were plenty of things to do in the home while we were there. An absolutely amazing kitchen and dining area for fun filled cooking and eating experience.

Holiday Memories
This was our first family gathering in four years. The home was perfect providing space for everyone to have quiet time but open and inviting for gatherings. Beautiful views and wonderfully convenient to Black Hawk for dining. Would definitely recommend!
