The 86 sqm apartment 'Albatros' in Prora on Rügen is on the top floor, completely facing the sea. You can see and hear the sea from the bed, the couch and the balcony, it is newly built, lovingly furnished and equipped with every comfort.
The bathing beach can be reached directly from the house behind a small pine forest and the dune in about 80 m on foot. Climbing park, treetop path and the narrow heather with its flint fields complete the offer on the land side. The beautiful and very diverse landscape of Rügen, numerous museums, sights, boat tours and much more offer something for everyone. A well-developed network of trails makes it possible to explore the island by hiking and cycling. Public buses bring you to (almost) any place - in summer also with a bike trailer.
The access to the house on the land side is limited to neighboring traffic. A baker right down in the house is open every day. In the surrounding area you will find cafés, restaurants and bars, various shops and a bicycle rental.
Binz with its lively life can be reached via a 4 km walk on the beach, but of course also by bus and train. Here you will find almost everything you need for a pleasant stay.
Prora is known for the “Kraft durch Joy” (KdF) holiday complex, which was designed in the 1930s and only partially completed. During the GDR era, the facility was partly used as NVA barracks. Today the entire complex is a listed building, museums provide information about the difficult history. The GRANITZ house was renovated in line with the protection of historical monuments: modern and with the comfort of today (e.g. Balcony and roof terrace, elevator, underfloor heating, modern bathrooms, bicycle and car parking spaces, internet), from the outside you can still guess the concept of origin.
Your journey and your stay are both by public transport (long-distance trains to Binz, by regional train to Prora or Prora Ost station with about 1.2 km or 950 m walk to the Granitz house) as well as by car (the apartment belongs to Parking in front of the house) possible. Bike rental is also available in Prora.

There is an absolute ban on smoking inside the house due to the protection of historic monuments, pets are not allowed.
The neighboring staircases are still being renovated (the staircase on the right will be completed in March 2019, on the left all demolition work has been carried out, so that the interior work is primarily due), which can lead to noise and dirt. This has already been taken into account by a 20 percent discount.
