5 Speedwell Ski-In/Out Instructions:
Ski Out:
-Exit the garage and ski-down the groomed trail (lookers left) that leads to the cross-country ski trails running behind the house.
-For cross-country skiers - this trail takes you out on the miles of groomed Nordic trails that Moonlight Basin offers.
-For Downhill skiers/snowboarders - Take a left on the cross-country trail and go up a small hill - snowboarders may have to skate or walk without ample speed. About 100 yards after you crest the hill, take the first left to get onto the Dodgeball trail. Dodgeball will take you right to the Six Shooter lift. It is about a 5-minute ski from the house to Six Shooter. You will have complete access to the Madison Base and Big Sky Resort terrain from Six Shooter.
-For ski schoolers - our recommendation is to choose lessons based out of the Madison Base area
Ski In:
-Take the Jayhawk lift from Madison Base (don't go back to Six Shooter, but you can always take the Derringer lift back to Madison Base if you miss it) back to the Lake Lodge. From there, you can ski a few hundred yards down the trail and stop at Speedwell Drive. You'll have to cross over Madison Road to get back to the property on Speedwell Drive - 1st house on the left. Depending on snow coverage, you may need to take off your skis at Madison Road.
