This year was extra special, since we returned home to Muskoka where the older “we” vacationed as kids. The home offered ample room for 10 to spread out. The location was ideal for boating, hiking in Algonquin and even a quick run for groceries. Downside, the property is up For Sale. Consequentially the interior had the typical stark staging decor, while the front and backyard...

"This house was absolutely stunning and comfortable for the purpose of our trip. The screened in porch was an absolute game changer because of the only downfall ... BUGS! We wanted to enjoy the fire pit but could not. Both days, the deer flies and mosquitoes were so bad. We had our puppy with us, and got eaten from just standing out to let him pee. I tried to go for a walk, but it's just the area. We stayed for 2 nights while at a lacrosse tournament, and the kitchen was perfectly stocked...

"In Huntsville area to visit with grandchildren. Booked this location for the close proximity to Huntsville, for the lake, water activities (kayaks, paddle boards) and pet friendly. Could not have asked for a better location !! The Windermere is a bit rustic, but well appointed and we loved it. Can’t wait to visit again !!! "A true week's vacation in a slice of paradise just 30 minutes from Perry Sound. Reservation, check-in process and check-out could not have been more simple and effective.
