"We wish we could live at Rita’s retreat all the time! Our room was nice and cozy. The backyard is so spacious and peaceful all the way down to the water. The indoor saltwater pool was icing on the cake! Mike was very accommodating, helpful and fun to talk to— I recommend Rita’s Retreat!"

"Every one of us loved it here - grown ups, kids, and dog. We had many great adventures in a short time and wished we could have stayed longer. The kids and the dog loved roaming the beach right outside and swimming in such perfectly clear and calm water was wonderful. Well equipped apartment and helpful friendly hosts. Recommended and we hope to be back some day. "

"Annual reunion for friends. Property was great to entertain and stage us for other local events. Had an acoustic singer guitarist in and the acoustics were great! Pool is clean but is shared with two other Vrbo rentals on the property. Fire pit nice touch by the lake.privacy between the three suites is a challenge."

"The 2 bedroom, 3 bed house was great. It was clean, well stocked and located right off the beach. It is quiet with a great view. Highly recommend staying here if you don't mind the drive to get places. Cape Breton in the fall is absolutely beautiful! A must see!"

"Jay's cabin was perfect for us. Spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, super comfy beds, well stocked kitchen and great location on the Cabot Trail. We enjoyed days exploring the trail and evenings on the porch or walking to the ocean on trails on the property - views from the cliff-top were magnificent. Thanks for a great stay, Jay. Maybe we'll get back there one day. "

"Overall we enjoyed our stay at this cozy cottage. Location was a great home base for exploring the Cabot Trail. Lovely property with access to hiking trails right on site and just a short walk to the ocean. The only issue I would note is that the floor is two different heights between the kitchen and living/bedroom area. This is a bit hazardous and we had to be careful until we got used to it. "We had a very special experience of the stay. Very convenience going to Cabot Trail and the national park. Friendly attitude and timely response. The natural environment was great with ocean, stars and the green views. "This was a great adventure. It might not be for everyone but it sure was for us. There is a bit of a hike to the yurt, which made for a peaceful and secluded stay. Andrea and Clay greeted us and showed us around the place which was beautiful. There is a river right out the door that we swam in, and the yurt was so cozy inside."

"This hotel is showing signs of being very tired! They try but it is in need of renovation! It is your typical hockey tournament hotel! Very disappointed in the fact that everything in the breakfast room was throw away! Paper products and plastic utensils! Come on people, dust off your glass plates and flatware and glasses and cups!
