Modern cabin with hot tub, 60 acres with elk views, at the top of Winslow Hill

Welcome to The Friday Escape!
Enjoy open acres including ponds and a nature path through the woods, sprawling with wildlife and some of the elk herds’ favorite grazing fields. A perfect retreat in the heart of Benezette.
You will find local attractions within a few miles. Spend the day exploring or relaxing by the fire pit. The house comes with all of the amenities for cooking, but if a sunset glass of wine or a heated game of shuffleboard sounds good, this is the place for you!
Addition of a spacious patio added in January 2024 with access from sliding doors in the living room. Recent addition of 6 person hot tub. Summer additions to patio will include a 20 x 25 ft area under roof, grilling and dining area, cornhole and lounging furniture.

Main lookout on Winslow Hill - 1.5 miles away
The Elk Country Visitor Center --> 3.9 miles away

Felt like home
The house was as described, clean and in a fantastic location. Communication was great with owners and attention to detail in home was spot on. Can’t say enough about the outdoor space, it was beautiful and peaceful. But by far the best part of our stay was the Tempur pedic mattress in the master suite. Bought one as soon as we came home. No back and shoulder pain for 3 days! Loved our stay only complaint was it was too short, will be back again.

Amazingly perfect!!
Everything was perfect. The location, the house, the outside patio and hot tub… the stars! The wine! Owners were exceptional and attended to every detail. It was the best VRBO I have ever visited. I can’t say enough positive things about our stay. The location is central to everything. We saw elk on the property and in locations nearby. The 60 acre property has amazing hiking. Stay here.. you will be so happy you did!!

Great weekend getaway with the family!
Excellent location, great hosts and an exceptionally clean property. We've stayed here before and feel so at home. It's so relaxing. The back patio is the perfect place to hang out and we had elk right in the yard & across the road in the large field. We already planned additional stays!

Amazing place!!
Very well kept and up to date. Had everything we needed plus more. Location was amazing! Close to everything but far enough away to enjoy complete peace and quiet. Enjoyed seeing wildlife in the yard everyday. Overall great place! Highly recommend!!!

This home was exceptional. The outdoor space was incredible, quiet and comfortable. The nicest outdoor living area we have ever experienced. There were numerous table and yard games available as well. The home was exceptionally clean and comfortable and met all our needs. The hosts were very responsive to all our questions. Best home to rent on Winslow Hill.
Absolutely Spectacular. The home is as nice as it gets. Sitting on up on the hill overlooking 62 beautiful acres of open meadows and lush forest where wild turkeys deer and elk visit regularly.

Perfection
The property was a perfect setting, but the host got everything right to the smallest detail. From mutiple options for you to make your coffee, Q-tips in the bathroom, fresh propane in the grill and a nice stack of split wood for the fire pit - they are amazing. These are the properties and hosts that Vrbo and other platforms dream of. Should be the host and property of the year award given to this place and these folks. Perfection is all I can say

AMAZING stay with elk in the backyard.
We had an AMAZING stay, and wished we could have stayed longer! The house was very clean, the back patio and hot tub were awesome and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. We ended the trip with an awesome bull elk walking into the back yard this morning while we enjoyed our coffee! Thanks so much for an amazing place to get away for a few days!

This property is super clean and well stocked. Our hosts checked on us to make sure everything was going well. Even though it rained most of our stay, the beautiful covered patio enabled us to enjoy the wonderful view. Would highly recommend.

The property was immaculate, as per the description. The owners were very eager to help our stay be as nice as possible, which it was. And the elk were cooperative, as we got to see them the first two nights! Couldn't ask for more!

We had another enjoyable stay here. It is an excellent place to stay. We saw bull elk in front and behind the house. The place is clean. The outdoor living area is very well done. Stars, Elk, Bluebirds & Great Owners!
This house was perfect for us! The house was in impeccable condition. The property is lovely. We had elk and Eastern Bluebirds visit us almost every day! In fact, I woke up one morning and there were 3 elk just a couple yards away from the bedroom window! We truly appreciated there were only 3 steps to get in the house. Unfortunately for us, the weather wasn't great for most of the week and we didn't take advantage of the hot tub and fire pit.... Jeffrey and Brooke were perfect hosts and extremely helpful and responsive. I would most certainly be happy to visit again!

Amazing Getaway!
This house was a perfect getaway for our family. It was even better than the photos with everything you could need for your stay. The house was incredibly clean and decorated so you feel right at home. The walking paths on either side of the property was beautiful and full of wildlife. We frequently come to Benezette and this is by far the best place we have ever stayed! They are adding a hot tub too!! You won’t be disappointed! Jeffrey was incredibly complimentary; and the local wine was a kind gesture!

Winter Stay in elk country
This is an excellent place to stay in elk country. Nice view from the house. The house was clean and really nicely laid out for best use of space and moving around. Brooke and Jeffrey were very responsive to any questions we had. The driveway was plowed so it was easy to get to the house with our 4WD vehicles. We are planning to return again. John D.

Wonderful Stay
We had a wonderful Christmas get-away here. The house is beautiful. The host decorated the house for Christmas for us with a tree plus pretty lights Even gave us a bottle of wine!. We had everything we needed or asked for. Communication with host is excellent. Great place to see elk in fall, we are sure. Putting in huge patio out back which will be great! Would recommend a stay here!

This house is beautiful and exactly as listed. Very peaceful location. The house is very well stocked with everything you need for your stay. We saw elk while we were there. We went to the Benezette Hotel for dinner and drinks. I would recommend going there to eat. Very friendly people. We plan to come back again.

I would highly recommend this property. It is modern and very clean with great views. Brooke was very responsive to any questions that I had. Great location to go Elk spotting. Brooke had a welcome bottle of wine and beer in the fridge.
