"Spacious home with all the desirable vacation amenities. The house was large enough for a gathering of at least 10 people if not more. There are only two bathrooms despite having 5 bedrooms, so keep that in mind. The property seemed to be designed with a “man cave” focus, minus a pool table; large TVs in every room with a grand outdoor kitchen. We could not wait until sunrise to see the beautiful views on top of the mountain. I would caution that a good vehicle is needed to get up to the house...

"This home is a gem in Southern Humboldt. Just steps from the historic Benbow golf course. My kids loved the pool, it’s big and deep. Easy access right off Hwy 101, near the town of Garberville with good grocery stores. Close to Redwood groves and swimming holes on the Eel River. Comfortable beds and amazing views."

"We really enjoyed our stay at this mountain hill home. So clean and comfortable. It was equipped with the necessary high speed wi-fy as well as 2 smart tvs. We did have a couple of issues that were quickly resolved by the owner and property manager as communication with them was excellent. The mountain and valley views from the front porch was magnificent. This was our second stay at this home and will definitely request it again in the future trips!"

"We were only here for one night and the weather was too chilly to take a dip in the pool. Parking was close to the guest house/pool. Nicely decorated but it’s small. Fortunately lots of outdoor space! Bed was very comfortable. Nice towels and many toiletries provided. Perfect location if you are looking to tour the Redwoods. Two things that kept me from giving 5 star rating were: there was old coffee(how old?) in the pot and the refrigerator is located outside of the unit and it wasn’t clean."

"Property is in a great location and that is worth 5 stars but, that doesn't count. There was a dirty towel behind the bathroom door. We had a great time the first night, but, as soon as below unit got visitors they had loud music and did smoke quite a lot, which somehow was entering our units even with the windows closed. The unit also does NOT have a HVAC system, and there was only one space heater, which should be 2, for the bedroom and for the living area. The gas heater in the living...

"We had a great time at Redwood River Resort. Everyone was so nice and friendly and the Deer Haven cabin was a delightful place to stay - cozy and comfortable with fun rustic decor and a big comfortable bed. The heater worked great. The food at Harrison's was very enjoyable also. We will stay here again! "

"We had a wonderful stay...unparalleled ocean views and one of the most well stocked kitchens of any rental home we've stayed in. Just an FYI, no ice maker in the fridge on our visit but bagged ice was available at the local store."

"The house was beautiful, spacious and clean! The views from the deck were gorgeous. It is a beautifully stunning area. Highlights other than the house were Black Sand Beach, Needle Point, and the local brewery. I would definitely recommend this house."

"The cabins are set in a grove of huge redwoods on a scenic route with a restaurant, gas station and drive through coffee kiosk. It. is the only accommodation for a very large area."

"We loved this little cabin! It had everything we needed! One thing to be aware of: the local pickleball community has adopted part of the street leading to the cabin as their courts. They’ll move to let you by, but it gets a bit crowded at times and they’re less than thrilled about stopping play to move their nets. Other than that, it was excellent!"

"This quaint, cozy home was exactly what my family was looking for as a holiday hideout on the coast! We were able to cook, grill, relax, walk, golf, and frequent both the brewery and pizza place nearby (both fantastic). This was our first time in Shelter Cove and it is both remote and beautiful. We loved hearing the ocean roar, watching the deer on their daily visits, and catching beautiful sunsets between rainy days. The home was clean and comfortable, with soft bedding and plenty of comfy...

"Five of us were signed up to do the Humboldt 1/2 marathon and 5k. We were so happy to find a house with 2 bathrooms as most listings in the area showed only one. We are an adventurous group and didn’t mind the trek to the house in the dark. For those less bold arrival in daylight might be recommended .
