The James Cottage - Clean, Cozy, Coastal - Sleeps 6- 1mi to Historic DT Beaufort

Charming cottage in the heart of Beaufort SC. The home sleeps 6 (3 queen beds) and features 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, it is located on a quiet street.

You can easily walk or ride your bike .5 to the beautiful Spanish Moss Trail or 1 mile to Historic Downtown Beaufort. 2 Beach cruiser bikes are provided.

If you are coming into town to celebrate a Marine, we are located only 6.5 miles away from Paris Island!

The property has recently undergone renovations including:
an updated kitchen: quartz countertops, a fun blue tile backsplash and new appliances. Plus, updated bathrooms with fresh white modern tile and black hardware finishes.

Beautifully furnished and decorated with a cozy lowcountry feel!

Enjoy the backyard with a fire pit, BBQ and yard games!

Loved our stay at the James Cottage!
The James Cottage was perfect for our weekend visit in Beaufort. My husband and I loved being able to walk the nearby Spanish Moss Trail in the mornings before we went to town. We also went to the farmers market in Port Royal. As usual, we went to our favorite seafood restaurants and Hunting Island Beach State Park. The cottage worked well for the two of us and we liked having 2 bathrooms. It would also be ideal for 2 couples or a small family. We didn’t have a chance to use the bikes because of family commitments but it’s a nice option for the trail.

Great family weekend at the cottsge
The cittage was grrat clean. Plenty of tiwels and the bedd were super comfortable. My mom is 92 and had trouble getging around but the cittage was quite suit

Cute, quiet cottage on large, private grounds
We thoroughly enjoyed more than one month at this cottage. Close to the Spanish Moss Trail. Private backyard even though there is no back fence. Nice fire pit with seating. Cute, cheery kitchen that is well-equipped. One bath is relatively small and has limited counter space, but the second bathroom is reasonably sized. Owners were super responsive and kind. We would stay here again.

Wonderful cottage!
We had a wonderful girls weekend in Beaufort. The cottage is in a great location. Walking distance to downtown. The bikes were great to have too. The house was clean and had all the things we needed to cook and have fun. The host was very prompt in responding to anything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!

Can’t wait to return!
From the massive tree that provides shade in the front yard to the sweet aroma of a towering magnolia in the back, this cottage was everything it listed as and so much more! You can really feel an old sense of history in the core of a space with fresh and new updated appliances and technology. The town is so close and the bikes provided for the Spanish Moss Trail made an extra special moment for us to share with each other. Thank you for giving us beautiful memories to look back on and not just a bed with a continental breakfast like a hotel would.

Great home away from home
I stayed for a few weeks so i got a real feel for the property. It was wonderful. It is stocked with all the basics, it was spotless, the backyard is phenominal, the beds extremely comfortable, and the location convenient. Youre within walking distance to town (1mi) while extremely quiet. Everything about it spelled comfort.

The Perfect Little House
My husband and I absolutely love our time spent at The James Cottage! The house is always spotless and has everything we need for a comfortable stay. Extras like the fire pit and bicycles make this a home away from home. We enjoy the close proxy to the trail and downtown. Alyssa is always quick to reply to messages should we have a question, or need anything. My only hesitation to leaving a gleaming review is that our favorite spot will be booked when we want it! You really can’t go wrong with this place.

Cute and clean property close to downtown.
This property was VERY clean! We stay in a lot of rentals, and this one ranked as one of the cleanest we have experienced. The house is small but had everything we needed to enjoy exploring Beaufort and Hunting Island. We had a problem when checking in because the code didn't work, but I was able to reach the owner immediately and have it resolved. And leading to the trip communication was great with the owner. We would stay again when in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay on James Street! We did many walks into town, and made good use of the bikes. The house was super clean and stocked with everything we needed. We definitely recommend!

Family vacation
We had a great stay in this home. It was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed to cook and entertain ourselves. The kids loved having a queen sized bed to themselves. The host was very responsive to my questions and even offered us an earlier check in. I loved it being close to the Spanish moss trail. Made for a nice morning bike ride with the bikes provided.

A cute and tidy property which met all of our needs. Pleasantly walkable to downtown Beaufort with its harbor front park and the walkable, bike friendly Swamp Rabbit Trail. The hosts keep us quite informed of the basics in a prompt and pleasant manner.

Wonderful stay!
This little house was the perfect place to stay on our 4-day trip to Beaufort. Plenty of space for my husband and I and our teen daughters. So clean, comfortable, and centrally located. The bikes were a nice perk and an easy ride to the Spanish Moss trail. Would absolutely stay here again!

This was a wonderful, quaint cottage not far from Parris Island in a quiet neighborhood. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Enjoyed biking the Spanish Moss trail not far from the cottage, walking other local trails, and sampling Beaufort cuisine. The cottage was just the right size for us.

Super clean with all the basics.
The house was immaculate and included all of the necessities but no extras. There was no dishwasher detergent, no dryer sheets and only 2 TIDE pods. There was a tiny coffee maker which was fine for 1-2 ppl. The house was at a central location. Took us about 20 mins to walk to town where there was plenty to do along the waterfront park. Just a short drove to beaches and it was nice to have beach chairs and bikes in the shed. Alyssa was very responsive to communication and even came to unlock the back door after I’d locked myself out.

A Hidden Gem
This property was exactly as described. Cottage is conveniently located in a quite neighborhood, very close to great food, downtown area and shopping. Everything was clean, slept great and wish we could have stayed longer. We definitely recommend James Cottage and will stay again. Oh, and if you are looking for a great meal to carry out or eat in we highly recommend Lady;s Island Dockside!

This cottage was adorable and perfect for our family. The beds were comfy, everything was clean, the decor was so nice. The neighborhood was also very nice. We loved the fire pit and we made smores there. It was a perfect stay for my son's graduation at Parris Island which is only 10 min drive. Would definitely recommend staying here! Thank you!
