Peaceful cottage close to downtown Beaufort, SC

Newly renovated and beautifully furnished mid-century cottage in the Pigeon Point neighborhood of Beaufort, SC. 3BR, 2BA. Two blocks from a small neighborhood riverfront park (Cuthbert Park), ten blocks from the neighborhood boat landing and one mile from downtown Beaufort, our beautiful cottage is set back off the road and surrounded by flowering trees and bushes. You will find everything you need for a quiet and peaceful visit to the lowcountry. You are invited to relax on the generous front porch, prepare local seafood in our well appointed kitchen, barbecue on the shaded rear deck, or gather around the fire pit while you enjoy the sounds and sights of our coastal paradise.
Our cottage features many one-of-a-kind, handcrafted furnishings, original and limited edition artworks, and fine architectural details.

Idyllic place
Southern charm greets you from the moment you drive up. Our stay was wonderful, Stephanie and Palo did a fantastic job with the property, preserving the old and adding modern charm. The cottage is equipped with everything we needed and more. Love the backyard atmosphere- great place to kick back after a day exploring downtown. Highly recommend staying here and we hope to stay here again soon.

Family vacation
I have used vrbo for the past 7 years and can honestly say Stephanie and Pavol have been the most helpful and communicative hosts so far. We stood for 6 days in early August and soon as we drove up to the cottage we knew we had booked the perfect place! There was soft music playing, snacks, and a bottle of wine that we very much appreciated. The cottage was clean and well stocked, the front porch and the backyard were also nice and peaceful. We visited 4 different beaches with Hunting Island being our favorite! We also took a day trip to Savannah and Charleston. We visited the Beaufort water front park, it offers plenty of resturants, shops and even live music. We really enjoyed walking the streets and seeing the beautiful houses and trees full of Spanish moss. We would definitely consider visiting Beaufort again with one condition…we would have to stay at this very same cottage! Thank you again Stephanie and Pavol!

3 sister getaway. House was beautiful and had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation in Beaufort. Host communicated well and quickly. House was clean. Would definitely recommend this home. On of the best places we have stayed at.

What’s more amazing than this magnificently renovated cottage is the amazing hosts, Palo and Stephanie. They are top notch, very welcoming and locally available to answer questions and offer assistance. Perfect Dream House
Palo and Stephanie have created the most perfect home away. From the well stocked kitchen to the perfectly designed home, this place is a real gem. Comfortable seating on the front porch to the back yard fire pit, there's many places to relax with or without your fellow travelers. From the moment I arrived with the bowl of treats to the bottle of wine I knew this was the place for me in Beaufort and this was my 15th year in town. Look no further, this is the place. And don't forget the well stocked shed full of bikes.

We love staying in the cottage! It was our third time. It is a lovely place. We walk to the water every day. It’s close to downtown Beaufort and all it has to offer. We spent time in Frogmore, Dataw Island and Port Royal. This is truly a Low Country gem!

Cosy cottage
This cosy cottage was just perfect for our adult family. We were attending a weekend wedding on Spring Island and this place was amazing. We especially appreciated the pantry stocked with spices, olive oil, the bowl of snacks and a welcome bottle of red wine. We visited Hunting Island State Park and the vehicle pass was much appreciated. They also had bicycles we could borrow to explore Beaufort’s historic district. I would highly recommend this property.

Lovely Cottage
This is our second time staying in the cottage, and we love it. It is clean and so cute! Paulo and Stephanie obviously love the cottage and lovingly restored it. They are wonderful hosts. We will be back!

House was wonderful, and perfect for the 5 of us. The decor was very nice and it was evident this home was renovated with love. Location is great with easy access to downtown area. Been doing VRBO and AIRBNB for over 10 years and Pigeon Point is our favorite home so far.

Absolutely Perfect!
Hands down the best vrbo we have ever stayed in. Thank you to Stephanie and Pavol for sharing such an amazing property! The house is clean and accommodating, comfortable bedding, great showers, fully stocked kitchen, amazing front porch, back porch, yard, and fire pit. The location is convenient to everything Beaufort and Port Royal and a short drive to the beach at Hunting Island. Quality craftsmanship on the remodel, it feels and lives like a brand new home. We literally can’t think of a negative about this property.

Beautiful Home, Relaxing Setting and Welcoming Hosts
What a fabulous stay we had enjoying the beautifully decorated and well-equipped home with extra touches to enhance our comfort and connection to Beaufort activities. We appreciated the state park pass, recommendations in the notebook, and especially the front porch. The neighborhood is terrific for walking and has places to eat close by. Thank you Palo and Stephanie for accommodating our changed date due to Hurricane Ian.

Best Vrbo ever!!
We had a wonderful sisters' weekend here. Beautiful property that has every attention to detail and then some. Fully stocked kitchen for our dinners. We cooked every night (3 nights) of our stay. The weather was warm so we took full advantage of the front porch & the deck. 2 nights were spent around the well-planned fire pit area (wood is provided). We will be back. I personally loved the décor. Great communication with the owners. The location was excellent & the property is close to everything. Highly recommend this Vrbo!! 5 star property.

Holiday in Beaufort
My husband and I spent 9 nites at the La Fayette Street Cottage during the Christmas Holiday 2022. We have stayed in 3 other rental properties in Beaufort over the past 2 years and by far this was simply the best! The cottage has taken on a major transformation and the attention to detail really shows. You can not go wrong staying at this cottage. Palo and Stephanie are most gracious hosts and truly want you to have an amazing stay. If you love the charm of a small, southern town and nature you will not be disappointed. Amazing Stay!!!
The property exceeded our expectations. It was clean and adequately set up to meet all of our needs. We traveled for Marine Boot Camp graduation and the drive to Parris Island didn't even feel like 20 minutes. We will definitely be coming back here if we ever need to travel to the area again!

Wonderful experience!! This cottage is a beautiful gem!! The owners put a lot of love and time into this renovated home. The attention to detail to a travelers needs is spot on. The moment you pull up you are greeted with a homey feel. The porch alone makes you want to ‘come and sit for a while’. Walking in you feel the warmth with the ambience of lighting and soft music playing. The renovation story is so interesting. From the snack bowl, to the beach pass, the booklet full of information on things to do in the area, fully stocked kitchen, stocked bathrooms, the shed with beach items, corn hole and bicycle. This place has it all!! The little pond out back and the fire pit are an extra bonus with this rental. We were very pleased and would love to stay here again!!

Doesn't get any better!
We are two couples who have vacationed together for several years. For this trip, we chose Beaufort due to its low country island climate and many historical attractions, as well as its proximity to Savanah and Hilton Head. We picked Palo's and Stephanie's Peaceful Cottage due to its exceptional reviews, and it did not disappoint. Our only regret was in having to leave. We've stayed at many VRBO's and vacation rentals in and out of the U.S. and Peaceful Cottage now tops our list. The house is immaculate, charming and tastefully decorated .The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make a meal or if you choose, the grill on the back deck awaits. The beds and seating areas were extremely comfortable. When we weren't out exploring downtown or voyaging out to explore the Penn Center, Hunting Island or Historic Savanah, we relaxed on the lovely and spacious front porch. The backyard fire pit added to the home's charm and the weather was prefect for cozying up and making s'mores. We loved walking the neighborhood where we could gaze at the river or stroll through one of the quaint nearby parks. The neighbors we encountered were all lovely to greet us. The man next door even brought us delicious oranges from his tree. Since we had everything we needed and encountered no issues, our interaction with our hosts was minimal, however Palo was kind enough to show us the way to the park and assured us they were close by and easily accessible. Thanks again, Palo and Stephanie. We felt so welcomed entering the cottage after a long day of travel to be greeted by a basket of snacks and a bottle of wine!

Loved it!
We were in Beaufort for a wedding and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The hosts were the best and made our stay complete. The train set left out for our 2 1/2 year old grandson was the icing on the cake! All he wanted to do was “go home and play with train”. We will definitely stay again. Thank you Palo and Stephanie!

Pigeon point cottage
Wonderful! Clean. Cozy beautiful. Had everything anyone could need during a stay there. Could have used an extra TV so that everyone wouldn't have had to watch the same program, and 2 small chairs in living room very uncomfortable, especially for husbands who are both over 6 ft tall. Otherwise, best VRBO we have stayed in! Hope to come back.

BOOK IT!
Do Not hesitate to book this Charming Cottage! We have stayed in several VRBO properties, and this beautiful home is at the top of our list! The hosts, Stephanie & Palo, have gone above and beyond in making this beautiful cottage feel like home. Every thoughtful detail provides a more than comfortable stay. The "extras" provided are many and not typically found in many rentals. We found this cottage to be very warm, welcoming and charming. We arrived after dark, Palo contacted us to let us know the cottage was ready and made sure we had the code to get in. He left the outside lights on so we would have no trouble locating the property in the dark. From the moment we stepped in, we felt at home. The lights were on, soft music playing, with a bottle of wine and numerous snacks on the counter. The cottage is comfortable, nicely decorated and spic and span clean! The outside of the property provided a large front porch with comfortable seating, we enjoyed coffee on the porch most mornings. The back yard has a nice deck and fire pit area with firewood provided. Palo was on site when we were preparing to light a fire in the fire pit and was so kind to help us get the fire going. The property is conveniently located in a peaceful neighborhood. We enjoyed reading the information provided on the transformation of the remodel of this cottage, as well as viewing the before/after pictures on a media file on the TV. WOW! What an amazing and beautiful transformation! If you have a chance, take the time to look. If we could rate this property above 5 stars, we would! Thank You Stephanie & Palo for an amazing place to stay! It was so nice meeting both of you!
