Cute, clean house, close to lake public access
The house was clean and comfortable. The area was quiet with friendly neighbors and within walking distance of a public access beach area for the lake. Everything we needed was provided, making it an easy stay. Definitely recommend!

Stay was ok, had to reach out to the host to get xhexk in info, refrigerator went out on the second day but host took care of in a timely manner. Also was not given any check out instructions. Over all was ok

Dog friendly!! Cigarette smoke smell.
The house was well equipped with all the items you would need. All kitchen appliances, towels, coffee maker, utensils etc the home was fully stocked, all we needed was our food! The home didn't have a tv due to a storm from awhile back, but we don't watch tv so it wasn't an issue, but if that's important to you you'll want to see if it was repaired. Dog friendly homes are hard to come by, and this had a great yard, safe walkable neighborhood, just a block from the lake, and public lake access was close by. We would rent here again, just for the fact that it was great for our dog. We had WiFi issues and the owner was very responsive and had it fixed promptly! Friendly neighbor, welcomed us and answers questions about local sites and restaurants. Extremely easy check in and check out process. Downside: The house has a strong smell of cigarette smoke. Some of the bed pillows were hard to sleep on because they smell of smoke. We were thankful we brought our own pillows! There were signs posted saying "no smoking" but it's apparent that this home has been occupied by a smoker. Blankets and linens smelled like cigarettes. Thankfully, the bathroom towels seemed newer and didn't have the strong odor of cigarette smoke. We did not have access to the washer and dryer to be wash linens.

Bear Lake Days Stay
Our experience was great! The house was very clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable. Ted was great with questions and instructions. We spent the days with family for Bear Lake Days. ‘( who were in Hopkins Park). At the end of the day we went back to the cute little house where it was quiet and relaxing. Would stay here again and recommend it.

Perfect for our family
this place was perfect for what we needed. The back patio was really nice for winding down at the end of the day and relaxing. An already there dog crate is such a nice addition that makes packing easier and there were a lot of nice little touches that helped make our stay better. Would recommend to others

We picked the right place!
We couldn't have chosen a better home to rent. Both the house and our Host deserve way more than 5 star. The house was extremely clean, a great floor plan, fully stocked, and a great location. We had taken our blow up mattress hoping to sleep in the closed in porch, it was perfect (the bedrooms looked very cozy also). When we contacted our Host for a bit of help, he was very pleasant and helpful, he was wonderful.

Clean & Comfortable
Very clean property with everything you need to have a pleasant stay. Kitchen well stocked. The beds were comfortable. There was a hint of smoke smell when you entered but once it was opened up you didn’t notice. Back screened in porch has a large dog crate with very large back yard should you bring your furry friend. I can’t come up with anything that needs to be addressed. They really have covered all the bases. Truly enjoyed our stay!

Clean and affordable house
We enjoyed the 5 nights here. House was clean and convenient for us while here exploring the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a clean, basic place to stay.

The house was the epitome of clean. It had all amenities provided and was incredibly convenient for traveling the cities on the coast of Lake Michigan. I would definitely book again for my next trip.

Unsafe for an older person
Walked out of door to patio and missed the 6" step down as there is no markings or clue of a level change. Was taken to ER and scan showed pelvis cracked in three places. I had to return home to see a orthopedic surgeon.

Great Place to Stay
We needed a spot close by for Arcadia Bluffs Golf Course. And the location is great for Arcadia and plenty of other locations. The host was great throughout the whole process. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Great stay- freshly remodeled and clean!
We had a great time! Plenty of room for myself, my mom and two kids- with no stairs for my mom to climb. The kitchen is stocked with all necessary items for cooking with good quality pots, pans, glasses and dishes. This house is very cute and clean! We take an annual vacation to the area and this place was perfect! The Pierpoint Beach on Lake Michigan is less than 5 miles down the road and is a much more accessible spot to get to the beach, as my mom has hip problems. We did not swim in Bear Lake and spent most of our time at Pierpoint Beach (google maps Old Facefull), Arcadia Days, Frankfort, Port Betsie Lighthouse and the annual CSA Art Show (last Wednesday of July). All of these things are within 5-25 minutes on scenic M22.

Great place near Bear Lake
The house was great for our family to stay when in town. If you can't be on the lake, it's the best next thing. It is very close to the main street that runs by Bear Lake. I had a great time going for morning runs every morning. There is a fire pit in the back and views of the lake from the back screened porch. We were even able to see the fireworks for Bear Lake days by the firepit - An added plus we hadn't counted on. There is only one bathroom which was a negative, but it came with plenty of towels and was newly renovated and clean. The only other complaint we had was the house smelled like cigarette smoke when we arrived. However, after several hours of venting the house by opening the windows it was barely noticeable. We have family in Bear Lake and hope to stay here again. The screened in porch was so nice with the cool evening breeze that we brought a blow-up mattress and slept outside every night. It was also a great place to play cards.

Bear Lake Rental
Very clean. Comfortable. No air conditioning. A tv but didnt have any service. They do have internet so if they had a smart tv it would work. Or hook up your lap top if you bring one. But overall a very neat and comfortable stay.
