"This is the ideal house, in a terrific location. Driveway parking, powerful external lighting, gates on every side of the fence, comfortable furniture both indoors, and outdoors. I mean REALLY comfortable furniture. The windows are new, and slide open with ease. Good water pressure/temperature, and spacious bathrooms (2). "House was clean. Beds and pillows comfortable. Nice to have access to washer/dryer and full kitchen. Check in/out process was easy. Close to freeway access and to a gas station. We didn’t have time to explore Mckinleyville but we stayed here to be close to coast and also access the Redwood forests. It was a good pick."

"Rock Rose Cottage absolutely provides a "lavish and intimate" environment. My husband and I have stayed in other places along the Humbolt coast and this cottage is the one we look forward to returning to again and again. It's simply gorgeous - everything - from top to bottom. The location offers easy access not only to town, but both north and south coastal AND redwood areas. Nikki, the host is generous and attentive. The only downside was leaving! "
