This beautiful vacation rental has room for all your loved ones to gather in one place - only steps from the beach! The main deck provides you with fantastic ocean views and entry to a spacious outdoor shower, also accessible from the inside bathroom. This rental consists of the entire first floor and ground-level deck of the duplex. The main living space of this home has a convenient layout and is easily accessible from room to room. There is also a private hot tub. Make this Ocean Bay Park home your next Fire Island vacation!

Ferry service from Bay Shore lands you in the heart of the Ocean Bay Park commercial district, which gives off a bohemian and breezy vibe. Downtown Ocean Bay Park features bayfront dining, various eateries, a grocery store, and a bicycle rental shop. This home is 100 feet from the beach and just minutes to the Bay and the town of Ocean Bay Park.

This home is only accessible via ferry.
This vacation rental has a strict 30-year-old minimum age requirement, but this rule does not apply to groups with young children.
There are strict good neighbor and noise policies for this home in addition to no parties allowed at any time.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Perfect Fire Island Getaway
We had an amazing time here! The place itself was perfect for our group. Plenty of beds (very comfortable too!). Well appointed, steps from the beach..couldn't have asked for more! Glad to have both this and the top portion of the house to fit our large group and give us plenty of space to spread out and relax :)

Dirt and dangerous
This property was dirty, the furniture was broken. I got cut on a piece of furniture that was broken, the curtain rod fell down and hit my 5 year old, the walls were so dirty, holes in the walls, and the door handle was missing from the bathroom. We called to try and get a manager and they sent the cleaning lady, still have not heard from anyone

Lovely Home in Ocean Bay Park
Unfortunately, the house was not as clean as it should have been. We found cigarette butts on the deck. We had a broken bathroom door handle, a broken toilet seat, and a broken door hinge sticking out so that someone might hurt themselves. In one of the bedrooms, there were no window screens, so we had to keep the windows closed all the time. I specifically asked if there would be enough cooking and eating utensils for the 12 people I booked for and was told: "yes - definitely." There were only four coffee cups, five knives, and five forks!! I had to go out and buy utensils. No working toaster nor microwave, and the circuits kept going off. Our biggest complaint is that we expected the whole 2256 sq foot property as stated in the VRBO ad and photos. Unfortunately, they split the listing with another company, and the top floor was rented out to another family unbeknownst to us. We had requested and expected the whole property in November and were told in May that the top floor was booked. Why VRBO did not offer it to us when we inquired about the WHOLE property in November is beyond me. They kept saying they had no idea. The people upstairs also had a hot tub, and all six people got in the tub, and it flooded our deck, belongings, and clothes and sprayed down on us. I had to run up the stairs and politely ask them to stop! It was impossible to be in the hot tub at the same time as them with all the water coming down. When I asked the manager to go over all the issues, she said she could not talk as she was very busy. She said she had enough information from what I had told and shown the housekeeper. I felt very dissatisfied with her effort to help us out. In all the years I have been renting through VRBO, this is the only time I have had problems and such haphazard, careless customer service. Having said all that, the house is beautiful, if kept cleaner, and has a beautiful view. My group had a wonderful time there and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Great memories. If you would like, I have photos of all the broken parts!

Great place/location!
We stayed here for the weekend for a girls get away. It was perfectly located! We were so close to the beach and it was beautiful. Cons: people above us were super rude. Overflowing their hot tub every night and throwing beer cans down the stairs. They had one garbage bag for us and the garbages were already overflowing outside from previous guests. No where to put recycling too. Other than that, it was great for what we needed.

Fall getaway
We had a great time. My only complaints would be that the hot tub for whatever reason didn’t maintain the heat until the day we left. The other would be the amount of garbage outside and the house could have been cleaner. I assume both were due to it being the end of the season. Otherwise everything was lovely.

We lived this rental on Fire Island! The location is perfection and the unit is very spacious especially the deck area which is very large and has great views of the ocean. Beach chairs were awesome as were bikes.

OKAY BUT NOT GREAT
To start with there was no one to ask about the house that really knew it so I was told there were no beach towels when there were, (so we all brought beach towels on a long journey with a lot of stuff.)there was no wagon at the ferry, I had to wait days to find out about sheets and towels. The house itself was nice and clean and well located. Bedrooms were good. The kitchen was ill equipped for the price..No pot big enough for a pound of pasta, lots of missing utensils, barely any glasses and mugs and NO POT TO go into the coffee machine so we couldnt make coffee (also no water kettle) firdge was a bit weird as it wouldnt close with the shelves in and there was a huge AC unit on the floor in the kitchen...and no one to call about it...tried emailing Vacasa...nothing. Really for the price it needs some kitchen help at the very least

Great Location, but very disappointed in management
The location of this home is wonderful. You are so close to the beach and have stunning reviews. We did feel that the pictures of the interior were much better than the actual home (i.e. holes in the walls that were never patched up), though, willing to overlook due to location. Management, however, is a different story. Check-in instructions clearly stated that we could only arrive to the house at 4PM. We arrived to the Island at 2PM and planned to spend a few hours at the beach (until 4PM). Walking by the home, we saw the cleaners preparing the house for us. I asked the man onsite if we could leave our luggage outside. He told us this would be OK and that we could leave our items on the deck. Minutes later, another cleaner handed me a phone and on the other line was a Woman (assuming from the property company). She was screaming at us, "Under no circumstance can you bring your stuff inside. I don't need this crap on a Friday..." and many other rude words. I told her we received approval to put out belongings on the deck and no apology from her, She just continued to go on about how her boss has been tough on her. This situation made everyone uncomfortable and it was by far the most unprofessional person I have dealt with at a rental property. I did reach out to Vacasa to let them know of the situation but... no reply (not shocked) and hence, this public post. Long story short, do not attempt to leave your belongings on the property because you will get chewed out.

Beautiful house, perfect location, amazing views
We only stayed for 2 nights. The minute we walked into this house we were on the phone with vrbo to extend our time. Unfortunately it was already booked. The house is so clean and even though it was not listed, it had air conditioner. The floors and living room couches are brand new. It is 1 house away from the ocean which is so convenient with little ones. There is a big deck with a sectional couch and a big family sized table. The hot tub was great, especially since the weather our first day was not so good. The beach chairs were brand new. There were bikes there but they were rusted and not usable. The boys just rented bikes for the day to go to Ocean Beach. I would definitely rent this house again. 5 stars
