Social Distancing Haven! Lake of the Woods Getaway

Beautiful Lake of the Woods property that awaits you and your crew! Whether you are visiting the area to fish, hunt, snowmobile, cross-country ski, family reunion, hockey tournament, kayaking, we've got you covered! The four bedroom, 3 bath house is fully furnished and ready for you to make lasting memories! There is a 2 stall garage on the property. The home is situated on the Winter Road River (2 Miles from Rainy River which is the gateway to Lake of the Woods), about 4.5 miles NW of Baudette, with a dock and boat access.

The home has a deck overlooking the water, a fire pit to enjoy, a large yard and a BEAUTIFUL view! There is plenty of space to park fish houses, boats, etc!

House is equipped with TV and WIFI.

If you have any questions or requests, please contact us! We were both born and raised in Lake of the Woods and can help you with just about anything!

Our group of adult fishermen enjoyed the stay at this nice property. Easy access, great parking for trucks and trailers, lots of room to spread out and not feel like we were confined to one area. Will definitely stay here again in the future!

Great spot to stay for our 1st time up to the Lake of the Woods area! Everything about the property was as described and worked out great for our family of 6. Plenty of towels, kitchen essentials (pots, pans, cookware, coffee maker), bedding/pillows, ect. I don't have a dishwasher at home, so that's always a plus! Great outdoor space including a deck with patio furniture, large yard with firepit, and dock leading down to the tributary. Our teens loved the paddle boat and went out many times even fishing off of it. The waterway is a tributary maybe 2 miles off of the Rainy River and was fun to explore. We used Wheelers Point boat launch about 10 miles North of the house, as the boys wanted to fish more in the 4 Mile Bay and along the river, but we did drive the boat down the tributary to the house and met many other boats fishing along the way. Beautiful views along the property and waterway. The property is a short distance to Baudette which had everything we needed. Also a close drive to Zipple Bay State Park where we went for an afternoon exploring/hiking. Very neat area! The Lake of the Woods website fishing report helped us catch some nice size Sturgeon which our boys were looking for; although no keepers. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and answered any questions we had, including where to try to catch a sturgeon😊 We would definitely stay here again!

Family Visit
Lake of the Woods #1 is a great property! We had an amazing visit and enjoyed staying there! Lots of s’mores, fishing and making family memories took place! We would do it again in a minute!!!

Mix up corrected
When we arrived late at night the house had not yet be cleaned from previous guests. Upon contacting Savannah there had been a mix up in their schedule. She apologized and came out and cleaned it and changed it over. She refunded the cleaning fee and a nights stay which we felt was appropriate. We understand these things can happen and appreciate the prompt response. We had a great time fishing and the house fit our needs for that for that. Thanks much. The place was very private and quiet and easy to find. There is a couple miles of gravel but the roads are good.

The house was a great get-away. Large and roomy with space for all of us. Great location also. It was perfect for what we needed. The property owner was very pleasant and responsive. Great stay!! Definitely would book again.

Our Best stay yet!
Our stay was much better than our resorts stays in the past! We had plenty of room, everything was clean, had more than one bathroom, plenty of parking room, and we didn’t have to launch and load boats every day to go fishing! I was SUPER happy with our accommodations with Grant and Savanna! Savanna was extremely prompt with replies if I had questions.! It was very smooth and easy! It was the first time in 13 years I didn’t have to hand wash dishes. 😂😊 the only minor issue we had was that there are four steps on the dock that need some love. One of our crew is in his seventies and has had knee surgery so we had to help him out a little 😂😊. Otherwise, it’s very obvious why Grant and Savanna are premier hosts! I’m definitely interested in booking with them for next October before they get booked up! Savanna….. please contact me on how we can reserve a spot! 😊😊
