My wife and I had a great time getting away to Bath, NC. Very quiet town and relaxing area. We are always going doing something at home, from 630am to 930pm till we literally crash from exhaustion. I told myself that I needed to find away to a remote area for our anniversary.
Upon arrival to the Inn on Bath Creek, my wife and I were greeted by the wonderful Irish Inn Keeper, Marie. She was very interested about making your time in Bath more to our liking, which was us needing to have peace. Marie was always easy to find if needed and willing to discuss things we could do around the area.
I rented the top room which had a large room, bathroom, and a king sized bed. It was easy to forget we where at a Bed and Breakfast, the Inn was amazingly quiet. In the morning, we were treated to Marie serving us a very wonderful breakfast which was never the same thing and had a Irish twist. We also loved hearing Marie's Irish accent.
Meanwhile, Bath offered exactly what we where looking for, a way to slow down and focus on each other. We enjoyed staying in town and going to the Black Beard Tavern, The Old County Kitchen, and the Marina in town. There was also a library, and a Historical Society that made a great way to understand Bath's background.
Most of the towns people where nice. However I had a impression that some of them also wanted to live a quiet life. Shop keepers were friendly and it was awesome to have a slow southern twist in their interaction.
Thank you Marie and Bath.
