Horrible arrival and service, nice property, no management
Arrived at our check in time of 4 p.m. in Sugar Mountain NC. Door code would not work. We finally got a code that worked at 9 p.m. Got in and the house was trashed...dirty linens and trash everywhere. We are traveling with small children it was 20 degrees outside and once we got in we had to clean until 2 a.m. and still slept on beds with no sheets. The bunk bed broke as well. Luckily the oldest children were in the lower bunk and not injured. It is now 1 p.m. on day 2 of our vacation and no towels or linens have been provided, previous renters trash is still on the front porch. Horrible service so far. Home now...never got cleaning or linens. Slept on mattress cover with throws we bought. Toilet in basement not secured to the floor. Promised everyday we would get help. It never came. Review by the people there before us apparently had the same problem...not cleaned and no one to help. We rented through Vacasa.com on line. Never again...I own a real estate company and I am hard pressed to give recommendations or reviews, but this was a dangerous situation with children and the access to the property. Very cold and late before we could even get into the property. Thank goodness last case resort was an hour drive home...otherwise there was no where to go other than begging for a couch in a lobby of the 2 hotels there.
