"Fantastic location and house. So well equipped for cooking and relaxing. Lots of space for the 11 of us to be together, that dining table is amazing, but lots of different smaller spaces for us to hang out in smaller groups. "My friend and I rented this place and really enjoyed it, we wish we could have stayed longer. It was clean and they did a lot with the space. The bedrooms were nice even though there were no photos of them and the area is quiet. The lack of photos is why I put 3 stars for accuracy since it was hard to know what the rooms would be like. This would be a great place to go in the summer to enjoy the lake. Every question I had, the owner answered them very quickly and with great detail. All in all,...

"This property was wonderful for our family to stay for a wedding in Port Hope. It was perfect for entertaining. Well located to shops but a very quiet place to relax. We had no children with us, but it would be great for families with kids. The property manager Amanda was super responsive and helpful. Highly recommend. "

"We had a lovely time at this cottage. It was very clean, all the kitchen things you need are provided, and it's right on the lake. The decks and dock were great spots to spend a weekend, and the bbq came in handy. It's close to a town too if you forget anything. Some downsides to note: There was a large tv, but unfortunately the wifi didn't really work, so keep that in mind if that's an important part of your stay. "We were excited about our stay at Rice Lake! But the house had a few problems and it made our stay less enjoyable. The small A/C unit is located in the living room area and not in the bedrooms. "Loved that windows in room open! Did not love the kids hockey team running wild all over the hotel out of sight of their tailgating parents! Hotel staff did their best, but it was constant running and games in the hallway, a parade in and out of the pool (dripping wet, in the elevator! And all over the floors!)
