"Once again this year we had the privilege of spending 9 wonderful nights there. Everything is as described in the presentation, pictures absolutely reflect the complete house and property. Just like last year, we felt welcome and simply at home for the short time. The house is super well equipped, the kitchen has everything you need. "Our large group of family and friends stayed here for a week and enjoyed the beautiful Drawing Room for morning coffee, cocktail hour and nightcaps (made extra cozy by the fireplace). During the day we enjoyed the nearby lanes and paths that wander through the green and tranquil countryside. There are a lot of attractive and large rooms that are perfect for a large group, but bathrooms (and hot water availability) need updating (some toilet seats were falling off). That said, we'd go back....

"We've stayed in a lot of properties and this is my new favorite. We brought 3 of our adult kids and 1 daughter in law and there was plenty of space and separation so they didn't keep us up if/when they stayed up later than us. It was old world charm with modern conveniences, and central to so many wonderful sites in Mayo. We went to Cong, Galway, Westport, Knock, Ballintubber, Ballinrobe, and up to Ballina & the incredible Downpatric Head Dun Briste sea stack & cliffs (1 hr & 1/2 scenic drive.)...
