"Good all around"

"Outside looked run down & parking lot was awful & bikes laying in walkways. After putting our suitcase in the room, we immediately left for the beach. When we got back the key wouldn't work in the door, the receptionist/ housecleaning ranked of alcohol tried using her key, then a owner finely got it opened after trying several different keys & told us to leave it opened if we go back out & he'd have someone fix it. We said not with our stuff in there, so he immediately tried giving us the room...

"We were very happy with our stay! The very best thing about this motel was the location! Even tho you are not ocean front, it’s just steps away, and the pier is literally right there! All the best food places as well are within steps! The staff was the next best thing! Helpful, kind, friendly, funny, and all around wonderful hotel staff! We arrived early and our room wasn’t ready and they let us use a empty rooms bathroom, while they were cleaning it! Very kind and understanding! The room could...

"It was great. They clearly continue to keep the maintenance up on this old motel. The bathroom was in pretty good shape. They had redone the grout in the tub and sink. They need to redo the floors, but it seems like the floor job is next on the list. It was clean. It was quiet. It's close to the ocean. The staff was great. "
