"Love Aviemore so booked the Spey valley lodges. The lodges are starting to look quite run down, especially the outside with peeling paint. The inside is a little dated but was clean enough. One of the single beds had no bottom sheet on it and a dead spider lying between blanket.Obviously this bed was not made up fresh. Check in is 5pm and checkout was 10am I find this utterly ridiculous. I did enjoy the onsite restaurant and bar. Staff were nice. I would come again but not at the prices they...

"The peace & quiet here was amazing! Other guests were respectful & the only noise in the morning was the ducks looking for food. Our lodge was dated but comfortable. There were a few minor issues but nothing that affected our stay. So in summary the accommodation is not luxurious but the location & setting are wonderful if it’s a quiet break you are looking for. "The house was a perfect home-away-from home for our family of 6 adults! Everything we needed was provided, and made it easy for us to have meals at the house once we acquired some groceries from Aldi. The beds were super comfortable and the showers were perfect! Susan was a great help-stopping by one time to introduce herself, and even coming out to shovel the driveway on the morning it snowed! There were tons of historical sites within a short drive. And breakfast at the North Gateway...

They were treating us rudely all over our stay, since check-in, when they refused to provide 2 keys for the room, even we were 4 people in the room! Sounded like all employees were in a hurry to finish their jobs instead of creating a good experience for customers. Rooms need serious renovation, the carpet is covered by dust when you look under tables and behind the beds."

"The rooms and toilets are quite small, and WiFi is a disaster. Staff, in general, look underprepared. Fortunately, sympathy improved with time. The food was good. It has a public charging point for electric or plug-in hybrid cars."
