"I have nothing but gushing reviews for my Makanda Cabin stay. The cabin was easy to navigate to. When I opened the door I found a clean, comfortable, well appointed place, with two good size bedrooms, living room with fireplace, a bathroom stocked with plenty of towels and soap. There was a basket full of treats on the kitchen table. Hangers were in the closets, luggage rack and lots of shelves to organise wedding and hiking clothing. I could truly relax there. "We really enjoyed staying at this cabin. It was cute and cozy, perfect for my husband and me. There is a nice deck to star gaze or sit in the sunshine. Steve, our host, went above and beyond helping us with the TV as we like to relax in the evening while watching sports. This is a great place to stay and we highly recommend it!"

"Hubby and I wanted a few days away with our senior rescue pup. We were looking to unwind and this place was perfect. This cottage has an amazing back deck, hot tub and large back yard. "This place was perfect for our weekend stay. The cabin was clean and cozy, thought it could be buggy due to the location but not one in sight. We used the pullout couch bed which was good for our needs but the mattress is thin so it was helpful we brought a second comforter to add more cushioning. Also, the host was very attentive and responsive. Place had everything we needed and I would definitely stay again! "

"We were in the area for a wedding in Percy. This apartment & downtown location in DuQuion was prefect for us. There was a mix-up on the entry code, but Alexis got back to us quickly and all was well. I would recommend eating at Alongi's Italian Restaurant. It's just a few doors down from the apartment. Food was great and if you're a Cardinal fan, you'll have fun looking at the wall pictures. We highly recommend this VRBO and will book again if we are ever back in this area. "

"My boyfriend and I stayed 3 nights here, and didnt want to leave! From the high ceilings to the exposed brick on the walls it was easy to fall in love with this place! It was private and perfect. "We booked this cabin for an anniversary weekend getaway. Everything about the cabin was perfect! We enjoyed the trail behind the canin. We also enjoyed hiking at nearby, Giant City State Park. Southern Illinois is beautiful in the fall. We hope to be back and highly recommend to others."
