This is a truly awe-inspiring space and one you’ll never forget, depending on how many drinks you plan to have. Whether you’re swimming in the pool, lounging in the spa, or playing in the school bus, this rental puts the A+ in Austin... ok that didn’t really work but you get it. Also, no actual partying we have to be respectful of the neighbors.
With 8 bedrooms and 13 beds plus a queen pull out sofa-bed, You won’t have to leave anyone out for your fun-filled Austin vacay. Well, sort of. Two of the bedrooms are Harry Potter style, meaning converted closets, which means you’ll be able to show your friends who’s truly most important (just kidding). Less than a mile from the bars, and walking distance to the grocery store, you’ll be near to everything you need to make this weekend getaway one for the books!
Sometimes the grass is greener on the other side because it’s fake - so let’s talk about the turf yard. We’ve got lawn games and putt-putt golf to keep you entertained, plus a giant outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi hot tut. But sorry, no lifeguard on duty. Oh, and if you're a sun worshipper, we've got prime poolside recliners ready to give you that bronzed glow while you soak up the rays.
For some camping vibes, cozy up by the outdoor fire-pit. Think fireside chats, s'mores, and all of the bonding with none of the sleeping on the ground. But what's up with that school bus, you ask? No big deal, just a custom painted, hollowed out lounge complete with big screen TV.
But we're not shallow - we know it's what's on the inside that counts. So we filled this 16-guest capacity house with all the selfie backdrops you can handle. Each room is filled with cool art and unique lighting that will make your pics pop!
Moving onto the fully equipped kitchen, which has got new stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher), lots of marble topped counter space, and all the tools you need in there! Ice maker? Check. Blender? Double check. Did someone say Margaritas?! And when you’re done taking pics in front of the plant wall, head on into any of the 8-bedrooms for more gram-worthy photo ops!

The Neighborhood:
Go east, young man (or woman). Austin’s hippest businesses are moving farther and farther in that direction, and Govalle has swiftly become an area that deserves one of your sunny afternoons.
Located between Webberville Road and Airport Boulevard, the neighborhood started as a cattle ranch in the 1850s. Swedish entrepreneur Swen Magnus Swenson used the Govalle ranch as a way to help more Swedes settle in Texas. He would pay for fellow countrymen to come to the U.S., and in exchange they would work on his ranch. If you want to sound like a local, then you’ll say Go-Valley, which is Swedish for “good grazing land.” These days, Govalle is a great neighborhood to grab a bite to eat, get a few drinks and even see some amazing art by local painters, sculptors and creators of all stripes.
Govalle is jam-packed with tons of cool mom-and-pop businesses. On Tillery Street, just south of Seventh, is a trendy outdoor coffee trailer, Filch. One of East Austin’s most insta-worthy sites is just up the road under the Seventh Street overpass. A few blocks north is a business campus that houses Createscape coworking, where a lot of Austin writers, filmmakers, techies and a variety of other self-employed professionals rent a desk or snag a daily hot seat. On the same property is a CBD shop that periodically hosts block parties and Squatch Frontier Fitness. This is the gym where your trainer works out.
Since Austin is such an outdoorsy city, and there are so many popular parks around town, many Govalle residents don’t even realize what an amazing surprise awaits them at the southeastern tip of the neighborhood. The Colorado River Preserve is a 43-acre parcel of pristine dry and wetland habitats. There's even a designated wildlife viewing area.
