My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Daneâs place. Dane and Joe were very welcoming and great about communicating when we had questions. We both worked remotely while we were staying there, which was a little challenging because itâs a studio apartment, but we knew that going in and found some workarounds (Zoom meetings in the bathroom!). We also had our infant with us, so the blackout curtains were super-appreciated. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and so is the couch. Itâs very clean, the washer and dryer are amazing, and there is tons of storage for clothing, pantry items, etc.
A few quirks, which should in no way be deal-breakers (seriously, rent this place):
1. The water is soft, so go easy on the soap. Once you get the hang of it, youâll be really glad it is how it is.
2. Cooking - youâll probably need to bring a few things with you. There are wine glasses, coffee mugs, pots, pans, and utensils. But youâll need plates, bowls, cups or glasses, a sharp cooking knife, a cutting board, and maybe a few other specialty items. We cooked almost every day for a month, and we got everything we needed on day 2 for under $30 total.
3. There arenât any hangers, but thatâs another extremely affordable problem to solve (or just bring a few with you).
4. I think this is common, but make sure you bring your own toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags.
Thatâs really it. The neighborhood is great. Be prepared to be jealous of the fact that youâll see a different swimming pool out of each and every window in the apartment. Have fun and enjoy it!
