This peaceful farmette beneath the Dark Skies will capture your heart. You’ll feel right at home with the newly renovated interior. Take your morning coffee out to the new deck and watch nature come to life or push yourself out on the rowboat to clear your head and relax on the water. Challenge your friends to a game of cornhole or if you’re feeling energetic take a hike to the top of the mountain behind the house. As the sun sets grab some firewood and build a roaring bonfire making memories that last a lifetime. . The wild apple trees, an old root cellar and the small barn with some of the original farm tools are just some charming aspects of the old farm. You’ll love the huge yard, plenty of room for games and activities. Kids can spend countless hours fishing in the pond or playing in the stream. The porch and the new deck provide plenty of space to relax and enjoy the fresh air.
As you walk through the door from the back you’ll enter the mudroom. You’ll find hooks for clothes and a small powder room to your left. Then entering the kitchen/dining area you’ll have seating for 12 and all that you need to cook your favorite meal. Plus a walk-in pantry to stash your food during your stay. Walk down the hall to your left is the master bedroom with its own walk-in closet and bathroom. To your right down a few steps is the living room. Upstairs you’ll have the loft with views towards the pond and two bedrooms each having their own walk-in closets and access to the bathroom. There’s a washer and dryer in the basement.
Don’t forget to explore the surrounding area. We are 20 minutes from Cherry Springs State Park, widely considered to be the best stargazing destination east of the Mississippi. Also just a short drive from the farm the First Fork Sinnemahoning provides some of the best fly fishing in the state. Austin Dam, PA Lumber Museum and the Coudersport Ice Mine are some of the local attractions. The PA Grand Canyon and Kinzua Bridge State Park are a few more must see destinations.
