"The property is clean and beautiful. It has an amazing pool. We stayed during the slow season in New Orleans, so the property was quiet. The hotel advertises their swim up bar, but it was not open during our stay. They did have a walk-up bar, however. "Comfortable is what best describes Maison de La Luz. All areas are very clean and well decorated. The location is good. The room was comfortable, spacious and extremely clean. There’s a happy hour every afternoon with complimentary wine, cheese and grapes and we enjoyed that. "Originally booked this stay for myself, but work had other plans. So I called up the parentals and passed along the reservation. They were pleasantly surprised by the property (they’re total hotel snobs), and even more impressed by the phenomenal service.
Mother dearest is still raving about the aesthetic and finishes throughout the property—and they left a few days ago! The décor, comfort, and on-site food and drinks were all major hits. The gym? “Fire,” according to Father (retired Marine)....
