Disrespectful Property Owner, Moldy unit
Pros: Proximity to Truist Park, easy check in
Cons: 1. I booked this property and immediately messaged the host asking exact proximity to the Ballpark and if early check-in was available. The property owner had two weeks to respond before I hit my deadline of the booking being nonrefundable. VRBO had to reach out to the property owner to get an answer.
2. Upon arrival, there was food in the kitchen sink. After opening the dishwasher, it was flooded in the bottom and smelled like it had been sitting for days.
3. Underneath one of the bathroom sinks, it is peeling and cracked
4. There is a door with a nail sticking straight out,no door handle
5. There is a moldy smell throughout the entire unit, not sure the source.
6. After finding the state of the apartment, I immediately called the property owner, who did not answer. Given that she was unable to answer my previous questions, I immediately contacted Vrbo. While on the phone with VRBO she called me and texted me several times. I sent pictures of the unit and she told me I was wrong and she had pictures of the unit from one it was clean. Once I was able to contact her after getting off the phone with Vrbo, she proceeded to lecture me on how to handle a situation such as this. Her solution being not to contact Vrbo, but to contact her directly. Which I did. Her disrespectful tone and combative demeanor did not make me feel comfortable leaving my personal belongings unattended in the unit. Received refund from bank
