The ideal house at the foot of Acropolis.

My apartment is a spacious and cozy place 63 square meters, perfectly located in the heart of the historic center of Athens, in the neighborhood of Thiseio, few meters away from Apostolou Pavlou pedestrian street. Acropolis Hill and Ancient Agora is only 10 minutes walking.
The location couldnā€™t be better.
The metro station is only 3 minutes away thats why it is an ideal getaway destination for someone who wants to explore the city of Athens.
The view from the shared rooftop (two floors up by narrow, typical, back stairs) is spectacular. Guests can enjoy the privacy of the whole apartment which I always make sure to be clean and neat.
Whenever is in our hand, we will be glad to offer an early check-in or late check-out.

Location, location, location

This apartment was lovely and in the perfect location to see all the amazing sights in Athens. Irene is a gem - she met us upon arrival, had many great recommendations of places to visit and eat, and was very easy to get a hold of. Her apartment is a delight. We had access to a rooftop patio, as well as two other outdoor patios where we spent time reading or enjoying drinks. The location is very close to everything - we were able to take breaks at the apartment in between exploring the city. The air conditioning is wonderful - it was very hot when we were there but we were very comfortable. I would strongly recommend and I would book this location again when visiting Athens.

Irini was a wonderful Host. She met us early and helped us get in and showed us around the apartment and explained the unique things there. She told us where shopping and best restaurants were. The Acropolis is view able from the rooftop. The people on the street and in the businesses were friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful "neighborhood" feeling

House is easy to find and is easy walking distance to so many amazing neighborhoods and historical areas. Irene is incredibly friendly and willing to answer any questions and give suggestions on places to go. She even helped us to get a taxi on our last day. Apartment is extremely clean and homey.

It really is an Ideal house at the foot of the Acropolis

Location was excellent. Easy walking distance to all the sights. Irene was very nice. She provided us beach towels for our visit to Lake Vouliagmeni (otherwise very expensive to rent towels at lake). We arrived several hours early of checkin time so she graciously let us leave our luggage while she finished preparing home. She gave us the keys and a tour of the home and restaurant recommendations. We went to lunch as she finished prepping and we returned at 230 pm and went straight in to a beautiful ā€œhomeyā€ home that was clean and ready for our stay. After a day of touring we came home, turned on the AC. As the house cooled down ( which it did relatively quickly) we climbed up the stairs and enjoyed an amazing view of the acropolis with cooling breezes. This is a hidden gem of a place to stay in Athens. If/when I return to Athens I hope Irenes place is still available to rent. (If you like cats, the cafe down the block is cuteā€¦ see photo). This was a mother-daughter trip

Our stay at Irene's property in Athens was an absolute dream, earning every one of its five stars!The Thissio neighborhood itself is a gem, offering truly stunning views of the Acropolis that are even more breathtaking in person. We spent hours happily exploring the area on foot, with incredible sights and experiences around every corner.Irene was an exceptional host ā€“ very responsive and incredibly helpful from booking to checkout. Her apartment was nothing short of perfect. It was spotlessly clean and wonderfully well-stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable and convenient stay. We truly felt at home.We can't recommend Irene's VRBO enough for anyone visiting Athens. If you're looking for an ideal location, fantastic amenities, and a superb host, this is the place!

Great stay in a perfect location

Very clean, spacious apartment with a sweet little balcony for watching the parade passing by. Beautiful, lively neighborhood with many wonderful tavernas and cafes--and Melina's glorious pedestrian pathway right at the end of the street. And, for such a busy area, it is surprisingly quiet at night. We highly recommend it.

Hinsichtlich des Preis-Leistungs-VerhƤltnisses der Unterkunft klare Empfehlung!Sehr saubere Unterkunft, nette Vermieterin die sich wunderbar kĆ¼mmert, sofern Hilfe benƶtigt wird.Vieles ist in der Wohnung vorhanden, was nicht mehr mitgebracht oder besorgt werden muss, angefangen bei HandtĆ¼chern und BettwƤsche, bis hin zu WC-Papier und MĆ¼llbeuteln.Die Lage ist sehr zentral, ruhige und gepflegte Umgebung, gleich gegenĆ¼ber ("Underdog", super Essen und tolle Sitzgelegenheiten) und nahebei viel Gastronomie und FuƟgƤngerzone.Alle SehenswĆ¼rdigkeiten sehr gut ohne ƶffentlichen Nahverkehr fuƟlƤufig erreichbar.Die Dachterrasse im 4. OG ist von der Wohnung im 1. OG Ć¼ber im Innenhof liegende Treppen erreichbar und fĆ¼r alle Bewohner zugƤnglich. Tolle Sicht auf die Highlights der Stadt, schƶner Platz, um Sonnenuntergang oder die Nacht mit einem KaltgetrƤnk zu genieƟen. Deshalb: Empfehlenswert, wĆ¼rden sofort nochmals dort einchecken!

Irene was the absolute best host! She went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The apartment was immaculately clean and had all the comforts of home. My daughter and I loved this apartment, and its location was a perfect mix of tourist and local. Irene also hooked us up with the best taxi driver. Defiantly recomend!

Excellent place and a great location

The apartment it's located in a great area. Lots to walk to and lots to see. There's no lack of shops, merchants or restaurants. Irene, the host, was very helpful and gave us a number of recommendations and all of which were excellent. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Ideal for a week visit to Athens

You know you have booked a great location when you give the address of the apartment to the taxi driver at the cruise port and he says ā€œoh, that is a perfect location to be staying in Athens!ā€ We couldnā€™t have been more happy with the apartment overall!! Ideal location- beautiful rooftop view of the Acropolis and within walking distance to all the major sights you came to see. Restaurants galore nearby, a metro station just down the hill, access to the main pedestrians lanes around ancient Athens within 1/2 block. Irene was the perfect host. The apartment access instructions were perfect and easy to follow. Irene was available via text and was awesome at making recommendations for beaches, restaurants and tips for the best times to go certain places. The apartment was sparkling clean and so spacious and had everything we needed for a weeks stay. Access to the rooftop patio was an added bonus. Super quiet area- we slept so well. Only one flight of stairs up to access the unit. Nice to have the added convenience of insuite laundry. And Irene was so kind to leave water, coffee and cookies and items for an easy breakfast on our first day. We could not recommend a better place for you to stay in Athens.
