"We stayed for two weeks at The Bothy. We used it as a base to explore the Dales. We enjoyed seeing the local sights and villages. There are numerous sites to visit within one hour’s drive. Also, there are nice walks from the front door to visit Aysgarth Falls, Cauldron Falls at West Burton, and a longer walk to Bolton Castle. "What an amazing find! we were walking the dales way and had walked from Appetreewick that day, we arrived later than expected. "There are only 3 pods, which protects the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The view is exceptional and a place to truly relax. The pods offer a good standard of living space with a lovely hot shower and a really comfortable bed. The local sheep add an interesting intro to being in the countryside and lovely to watch. The pod is reached by a narrow single track road but this didn’t cause us any difficulties. The location is great for getting most places in the Dales. We will definitely be back. "

The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs.
