WE ARE OPEN! While the city water isn't potable, we will supply you with plenty of potable water for drinking and teeth-brushing. The city water is safe for bathing. Many establishments (including The Biltmore House, restaurants, and breweries) and hikes are open.

We are a short walk from sought-after eateries, breweries, and coffee shops and just a 5-minute drive from downtown Asheville. Make Gnomaste your hub from which to enjoy the best that Asheville has to offer. Our home is new construction in a charming historic neighborhood. Get the best of both worlds: enjoy desirable West Asheville while enjoying the comforts of a new home.
Gnomaste is a guest suite located on the ground floor of our home. Guests will have access to a parking pad located steps from your own private entrance. Your bedroom comes equipped with an amazingly comfortable king bed, a love seat, a smart TV, a dedicated work space, a small kitchenette, a private bathroom, closet, small dresser, and patio for your private use.
We live onsite with our 3 children and a people-loving dog so we may see each other and interact a little, but we will do our best to allow you privacy. When we designed and built this house, we added noise reducing materials to ensure you an enjoyable and relaxing stay.
Our home is on a quiet and very walkable street. We are a 2-minute walk from Sunny Point Cafe (best brunch in town), Itto Ramen Bar and the Oyster Brew House. And a 5 minute walk from The Hop Ice Cream, Jargon (amazing high-end restaurant and bar), 9-mile (Jamaican food you have to have), The Whale (serving the beers that beer snobs love), Haywood Common, The Universal Joint, Westville Pub, One World Brewing, and Thai Pearl.
A 10-minute walk gets you to Owl Bakery, Gan Shan West, Pizza Mind, Archetype Brewery, Short Street Cakes, Urban Orchard Cider House, and Hole Donuts.
By car, we are 5 minutes from the River Arts District and Downtown Asheville, 10 minutes from the Biltmore Estate and the Blue Ridge Parkway, and about 15 minutes from the Asheville Regional Airport.
We ask our guests to check-in before 11pm on the first night. Please do not book if you cannot check-in by 11. We provide off-street parking for 1 vehicle and on-street parking is very limited so please only plan on bringing 1 car. The last picture on our listing shows the parking pad (most suitable for small to midsize cars) and walkway to your entrance (the blue door on the side of our house).
We provide a couple of days worth of consumables (paper towels, toilet paper, coffee...etc). If you are staying longer than 2 nights please be prepared to purchase more of each.
Your bedroom and bathroom form a private suite. There is a door connecting your suite to the rest of the home (as is required within Asheville city limits) but this door will remain locked during your stay. For outdoor use, you have a private patio near your entrance.
During construction, we invested in highly-rated sound abatement material in an effort to create a space that is insulated from the sounds of our family. We were successful to a degree and have provided a white noise machine to enhance your sense of privacy. We ask guests to communicate with us through the app if there are noise problems and we will do our best to mitigate those.
