Charming and renovated 1 bedroom/1 bathroom condo on the 2nd level of the historic King James Building. Located in North Asheville, guests can enjoy neighborhood restaurants, yoga studios, and several shops while also enjoying the convenience of being less than 1 mile from downtown. There is one parking space (unassigned) for this rental located in the parking lot beside and behind the King James Building.
*Please note: There is not an elevator in the building*

Comfortable and convenient!
My daughter and I enjoyed our stay. The apartment is comfortable and exactly as advertised. Convenient to downtown and walkable, lovely neighborhood. Owners responsive to a few problems that were quickly resolved. Sofa bed needs a new mattress but bed in bedroom is very comfortable. Cafe downstairs for great breakfast and restaurant for dinner.

Perfect location! Adorable apartment. Loved having the City Bakery right downstairs, it was wonderful. Also the restaurant Bone and Broth was downstairs, we had a lovely dinner there one evening.

Great Location
We really enjoyed walking downtown, catching some trolleys and enjoying highly rated restaurants. The bakery downstairs is a lovely spot to grab pastries and coffee.

Great place to stay
My sister, best friend and I enjoyed our stay here. Parking and getting in the building and to our room was so easy. Having coffee and delicious food in the same building was so nice! The kitchen is really spacious and we were able to use the washer/dryer for a few things we needed to wash. Everything was great!

Great location & great value
The place was accurately described. Easy to access and had all the amenities needed for a long weekend stay. Conveniently located for a very short drive to Downtown. There were 2 nearby grocery stores if you wished to buy some items to get you through the weekend. Although the following did not bother me as much, it is worth nothing that there was plenty of traffic noise since it is located on a busy street, the window shades did not provide a lot of cover so plenty of light came in early in the morning, and the walls were thin so you could hear the neighbors. This is what kept this place from receiving 5 stars. Other than that, everything else about the place was great.

We enjoyed the stay. Place was clean and well appointed. It also had a bakery, restaurant, bar on the first floor, which made it convenient. Definitely would stay there again.

This property was great for our quick girls trip to Asheville. It was very clean. Great location with an easy walk to downtown. Communication with the owner was easy and quick! Would stay here again.

Loved the bakery!!
Could use a mirror outside of the bathroom Cute furnishings. Provide a sound machine for street noise. We brought our own. No hot water in the bathroom sink Needs a deep cleaning. Taped Rug pieces in the bedroom were a mess. All black out blinds are popular. now.

Solid Choice
Access is handled very well with 2 different door codes. Location is a healthy walk or short ride share from downtown. The immediate area has options if needed - Starbucks within walking distance, City Bakery downstairs as well as Bone and Broth, but the gems for us were the Chop Shop Butchery (also downstairs) and Jettie Rae's Oyster House a short walk down the street. Did not experience any of the ambient noise in other reviews, but would have preferred a better-stocked kitchen area. If you are visiting here and intend to do any sort of cooking (including reheating of food), suggest bringing a sheet pan at the very least. Also experienced some of the technological issues reported elsewhere with inconsistent Wi-Fi connectivity, which affects the use of the Spectrum app on the television. Also note that declining the Damage Protection Insurance results in a pre-authorization to the billing credit card.

Cute Apartment
The apartment was well appointed and comfortable. The only negative was it is 6 feet off a very busy noisy street. Great restaurant and bakery on lower floor. Location is convenient to all points. However I would not stay there again only because of the noisy street.

Great little place!
Great little place! Other reviews mentioned some street noise so we used our white noise machine at night and that was sufficient. We loved the convenience of City Cafe and especially Taco Temple. We walked there several times to eat. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Everything as described. Road noise but we could deal with it. My wife had issues with scented laundry products used for the bedding, prefers unscented. Major plus is bakery below (excellent) and restaurant beside (also very good) for dine in or easy takeout. Would stay again.

Belated anniversary trip
Property was a great fit for us. Very clean and comfortable, good location. A little bit of street noise (just cars going by), but not a big deal. Felt like a safe area. Fairly easy to get in and out of and very easy & quick to get downtown. The bakery downstairs was lovely for breakfasts. Would definitely stay again!

This was a wonderful visit to a beautiful spot in a VERY convenient location. Close by to lots of great dining options and a short drive from lots of smaller towns located nearby. Excellent visit and would definitely return!

Relaxing vacation
Excellent rental. Just the right size and all the amenities needed for a get away. The rental is as described in words and pics. The street noise that others complained of was inconsequential. We slept great every night . The only complaint is that the clothes dryer took forever to dry a small load. The rental is well located and an easy walk or drive to attractions. Grocery stores (Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Harris-Teeter) and other shops are only a few blocks away in case you forgot something or choose to eat in. All in all a great place to stay.
