"I had an excellent stay, as always. Everyone is always very friendly and helpful. The hotel is quiet and airy, with beautiful flowers and bird in the garden. And with a short walk to the wonderful Lalibela churches, it is the perfect place to stay. "

Just make sure the region has internet and electric light. We stayed two nights and the city had the electricity and internet cut off due to a civil conflict in the region. "FikirandRay is a relatively new hotel and offers comfort and quiet. It is a short walk from a restaurant with great views down the valley. The staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was simple but good. You need a guide to get around and bargain but prices tend to be somewhat set. Lalibela is well worth seeing, which you can do in two days, or most pf it in one day."
"There is no place or accommodation in the town bearing this name. The person behind this is running a scam. We were stranded with no where to go and in the end we ended up staying in another hotel paying the maximum dollar. It is unfortunate Expedia is allowing this to happen."
