Goodwood Revival 2024 Availability!
A lovely detached house set in woodland grounds of 1.3 acres where dogs are very welcome! Our beautiful house is spacious, yet cosy with a wood burner in the kitchen and open fire in the lounge. Located in the quaint village of Walberton, near Chichester the house is fully equipped for both business travellers and family/friends get togethers. With excellent access to local weddings, Goodwood events, historic towns & cities & the South coast, it makes a great base for exploring the local area.

Our spacious house sleeps up to 8 people. There are three large double bedrooms, one of which has an ensuite bathroom with a large walk in shower. There is a also a bunk bedroom. The family bathroom is on the same level as the bedrooms and it also has a large walk in shower and bath, opposite is a separate toilet room.

The house sits on 1.3 acres of managed woodland and is perfect for everyone to enjoy including dogs and children, as it is secure. There are various sitting and dining areas in the garden to enjoy the sunshine at all times of the day. There is a gas BBQ provided for guests use. It is well looked after and cleaned after every guest.

The kitchen is a fantastic place to entertain family and friends and the whole downstairs level is dog friendly. There is a utility room which guests can make use of including a washing machine and a useful downstairs toilet.

There is an organised garden cupboard full of spare chairs, sun umbrella, BBQ tools, spare gas, washing lines, pegs etc.

This is an ideal house for families and friends to gather, whether it be for a local wedding, birthdays, reunions or another big event.

***Dog friendly home***
Dogs are very welcome to stay free of charge! The garden is secure and dogs are welcome in the house. We ask that they remain off of the furniture and downstairs only. We provide dog treats, a water and food bowl and towels for you to dry them after a nice walk!

A welcome hamper is left out for our guests upon arrival which consists of -
Milk, tea, coffee, sugar, cloths, hand wash, cooking spray, dishwasher tablets, rinse aid, washing up liquid, matches, kitchen roll, tissues, bin bags, pen, salt, pepper, fire lighters and tinfoil as well as a some goodies including wine, cookies, chocolates and sweets!

We also include shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom and hand wash at each sink.

The house is child friendly, we provide games, outdoor toys, books.

We can provide a travel cot (please provide your own linen) and high chair along with baby packs 0-2 years and toddler packs 2-4 years. Items are subject to availability and requested in advance for shot stays only. All items are to be left in the property at the end of your stay. They will be cleaned and sterilised between each use.

Local Area

Set in a quite lane, the property has much to offer in the local area. The countryside of the beautiful South Downs National Park and the south coast offering plenty of nature or children's activities are within a short drive. Although the surroundings are peaceful, the property is only a 5 minute drive away from the A27 which is brilliant for connections to local attractions including Chichester, Arundel Portsmouth and Brighton.

The village of Walberton is a quaint, small, typical English village - just a 15 minute walk away down a country lane. It consists of a post office, a launderette, duck pond, village shop and a pub - The Holly Tree (which serves excellent food!)

Other country pubs in the local area, just a short drive away include -
The George at Eartham 7 minute drive
The Old Stables is located in Fontwell 3 minute drive or 15 min walk
The Black Horse in Binstead is a 4 minute drive

The Goodwood Estate is just 10 minutes drive, which offers a myriad of events throughout the season including motor-racing (Goodwood Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival & Members Meetings) and horse-racing. There are buses and many taxi companies operating in the area, please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any help in organising this.

For families with children, Aldingbourne Country Centre is located only a 5 minute drive walk away and has play area, a farm and a lovely cafe.

Fontwell Racecourse has many events throughout the year. Weddings are very popular at Fontwell and as our house is just a 4 minute drive or 20 minute walk away, it is a popular place for friends and families to stay when attending a local wedding.
Fontwell Racecourse also hosts many horse racing events - daytime and evenings including ladies day and also music events.

The nearest petrol station is located in Fontwell, only a 4 minute drive.
