"Charming apartment in a historic building of Newport. Spouse and I were in for the weekend for a wedding on Goat Island. We walked so many places that were in a 1 mile radius, including some of the historic mansions you can tour. This place was impeccably clean, but the bathroom ceiling needs work. Like most old buildings, you will hear the neighbors above you walking, and the neighbors using the stairs and doors on the other side of the bedroom wall. "50 steps to door... no landing at door, precarious as you open the door.. no national news on TV until i complained .. sliced an onion and the blade fell apart... older people beware no hand support in shower .. if you use 2 AC, circuit breaker kicks off... microwave does not rotate, i told owner and he did nothing to repair or replace...shower flow was inadequate but owner told me it was adequate... he had my $$ so I had no recourse.. i have lived 16 years in five 3rd world countries and the...

"We were in Newport for a wedding - same timing as Boat Show. We stayed in Portsmouth and it was PERFECT!!!!!!! Sunset Cove restaurant was just across the street - breakfast was great and lunch outside - bar, live music - spectacular. We weren't in the Apartment that much but when we were it was GREAT!!!!!"
