We booked a room for three people and when we arrived it was set up with one double. When we eventually got hold of someone on the phone to ask for an extra bed for our son, they dumped a travel bed in the room and didnāt even bother to make it up. The bed was too short for an average sized person to sleep in and had to be set up in the bathroom! I have never had such a poor experience with a hotel, or lack of welcome. To not even bother to make up the extra bed was really poor. To finish off our evening, I went to put some fruit in the mini bar to find it full of mould. And the full length mirror was half hanging on the wall as one of the wall lints had bent down. Lucky it didn't fall on someone or they would have been liable for a potentially serious injury. We checked out after one night and I sent an email on the hotel contact form: they didnāt even have the courtesy to respond. Let alone apologise. Totally different to the large chain hotel we stayed at instead who could not have been more welcoming.

Check-in was confusing with getting key to house and room at another poperty, Water Street. All staff at Water Street are excellent and make up for the inconvience of getting keys and reporting needs.
I met some guests who did not know where to go and how to obtain access to their stay at the property. I showed them around the main house to familiarize with the opportnities.
Small nats continued to be annoying entering through the drain of the bathroom sink.
I came in one night after dinner in town and the ceiling above the foyer was leaking onto the floor. I cleaned up floor, and put bucket and tpwels under drip. I shared this with management and housekeeping the next morning. Maintenance realized a shower curtain was missing in shower.
These are examples of dissatisfiers and potential loss of revenue (repair of ceiling drip and wood floor) and guests returning, and negative word of mouth.

The water situation & sulphuric smell was terrible, even though this was not the ownerās problem. The room was fully equipped for our 2 night stay. For instance, I had to search the property for more coffee pods & toilet paper & bottled water.

There is no staff at this property so they work off a mobile check-in system. However, itās extremely confusing about where your room is located and how to get into your room.

The check-in process was awkward since you never speak to anyone at booking or arrival if booked thru Expedia. We arrived and apparently all the the information that we had entered through Expedia was not shared with the arrival desk so we had to re-enter our information and weāre required to purchase a manual key at $10 per room since the registration was not complete the desk clerk was friendly and helpful

DONāT STAY HERE!
We booked a stay at Coombs Inn for a couple of days. It looked charming in the pics online. Upon arrival that idea was quickly dispelled. As soon as you enter the lobby you are hit with a strong moldy/mildew smell. It also appears really run down. We went to our room and it was very hot. We called the off-site office and were told there are 2 ac units so it should be cold. I went to the lobby (which was a reasonable temperature) and saw that there is a mini split in the lobby and also a mini split in a room off the lobby. There is no ac in the second floor rooms. The control for the ceiling fan and light didnāt work, so we couldnāt increase the fan speed or turn on the ceiling light. Getting into the bathroom requires using an oversized step up. Each trip into the bath was a safety hazard to seniors like my wife and me. Several other issues like a lack of electrical outlets (only one) in the bedroom and other small items that didnāt appear to work helped make this a terrible choice. The mattress in suite 5 seems to have been from the original owner because of how worn out it was. I constantly felt like I was going to fall off the bed because of how compressed the outer edge was.
After one night of being too hot and uncomfortable with the general decrepitude of the room, we just left and booked into another hotel for the rest of our stay. It was a cheap run down motel (because we werenāt going to get any money back from Coombs), but at least

Close to downtown area. Town shuts down around 6PM so plan ahead. The direct key app was kind of a pain. No staff on site but they do provide a phone number. There are multiple buildings with no map in the main house. Our room was in another house on the next block.

It was completely contactless. I had no human interaction at all, and I miss that. The technology of the Blue tooth key worked as described. The property itself was a little underwhelming for the price. I guess I expected more than I got. Probably wouldn't stay here again. I slept good, but just didn't seem to value for me personally.

My son booked this stay last minute. He said they enjoyed the atmosphere of staying in a historical house. It was a great price for the cleanliness and location. Perfect choice!

We had a large antique room with a tall 4 poster bed and armoire and fireplace. The bed was very comfortably. There was a kuerig with plenty of coffee and a fridge.
The bathroom was small but adequate.
Sadly the electronic key app didnt work and we had to go to a nearby hotel to get a key card. Also sadly on a hot day the ice machine was frozen up. The cat was sweet.

Electronic key app didnt work. The guy drove a key over from the other hotel.
The room was not antique fancy like the others rooms. It smelled musty. There was a full kitchen and pretty big bathroom. It was roomy. The cat is friendly.

Unit we stayed in was not cleaned properly, water contained substancial sulfur smell (water condition was blamed on the City water issue), virtual check in was not user friendly and eventually we had to go off property o pick up a room key, Jacuzzi tub was inoperable. All in all the room was unstisfactory and it was called a suite.

Die ganze Einrichtung und der Stil passt zu dem wunderschƶnen viktorianischen Herrenhaus aus 1904. Die Sauberkeit. Bei Fragen sofort erreichbar.
Die Klimaanlage lieĆ sich leider nicht regulieren. Aber vielleicht ist dies bei dem alten Haus nicht so leicht zu handhaben

Our main issue was that our room was absolutely FREEZING and there was no way to change the temperature. The LOCKED thermostat was set at 70 degrees and it was located in the warm hallway so the air conditioner virtually never turned off. Our room was at least 10-15 degrees colder than the hallway. It was miserable.
We paid extra for a king suite and it was really just hotel sized and bathroom with jetted bathtub and double sinks. Definitely not a suite and definitely NOT worth the extra money.
The room, esp. the bathroom, was not super clean. A sink in the bathroom had not been cleaned and there was dirt and dust in the wall corners and on the baseboards. The bathtub had a pool of water with some dead bugs. The shower had a lot of calcium deposits on the enclosure which is easily eliminated with a melamine sponge.
There were some things that were downsides but out of the control of the caretakers that I just want to bring up. The house itself is extremely loud whenever people were talking or walking around probably because of its age. Also, the water was of poor quality and smelled like sulfur. That made taking a shower, brushing teeth and washing our faces unpleasant. They do have signs telling the guests why the water is the way it is but it was unpleasant.
We drove into Apalachicola FL from Panama City Beach FL, about an hour and a half away, for a wedding, but we wish we would have just driven home instead of spending $228 on a room where we didnāt enjoy the stay
