"We cooked the entire time we were there--Thanksgiving dinner, turkey gumbo, grilled fillets....it was wonderful. Thank goodness for 2 refrigerators. We had one of the most memorable times with our young adult children and mother. We did late afternoon walks and saw deer and wild turkeys each time. "Lovely area right on the lake. Everything you would need to stay in the places. The only thing we were worried about is that we had not heard from anyone . I had messaged three times in the week with no answer so we were hoping everything was going to be ok. We asked another holiday maker staying near us and managed to make contact. "Two friends drove from different states and met in the middle...Oxford AL! Enjoyed the house and had plenty of space, enjoyed Hubbards on Main for dinner and a church service nearby. Although we walked a short block to the quaint downtown (truly, so close), we occasionally faced a stray cat or barking dog off leash. Very easy check in and out. Great communication with the host. Thank you for your hospitality!"
