"We have been coming to Standing Wave for over four years and enjoy it even more each time. Standing Wave is one of our favorite spots on the Sonoma Coast. We highly recommend it for both the house itself, the natural beauty and the abundant wildlife (doe and fawn, bobcat, pelicans, osprey and other sea birds). We highly recommend Standing Wave for location, ease of communication with owner, cleanliness and comfort."

"Location is the highlight of this Gualala studio. The stairs faded quickly into the spectacular views. This is a special retreat from the ordinary. Miren is a fantastic host, her knowledge of the area, attention to detail & warm hospitality all a highlight of our stay. We spent 3 nights & explored nearby, but the Anchor Bay beach below this studio makes this location a place of pure contentment, no need to roam. We hope to return."

"overall quite nice. construction next door was minimal, BUT the closeness of the new structure really took away from the overall feel. i'm sure 5-6 established trees and a little time will soften this effect."

"Beautiful and very comfortable accommodations with everything you need. We enjoyed a week here and the location was perfect- about the middle of Sea Ranch- for easy walking and driving access to the coastal trail and beaches and to nearby towns for food and groceries. The night sky is absolutely incredible and we marveled at the stars and Milky Way while enjoying a glass of wine in the hot tub. Peaceful and stunning. Would love to book again!"

"We stayed for 3 nights in this comfortable, cozy cottage. We had everything we needed. The owner has thoughtfully provided all the comforts of home. The deck overlooks a lovely view of the river. We were able to walk to a few local restaurants. The public beach is nearby(walkable). We definitely would recommend this unit! We hope to return in the future."

"Everything about this little cottage in the redwoods along the creek was perfect. It was very quiet and peaceful although we were here during the week. And while there are neighbors to the left and right. One was very quiet and the other neighbors were not there. a very nice place to retreat."

"Really enjoyed our time in Sea Ranch. It was a chilly, rainy weekend and we spent lots of time reading by the wood fireplace, reading on the couch, and cooking in the kitchen. The kitchen would benefit from a few more supplies - but ended up having everything we needed for the weekend."

"Our room was simple, practical, and clean. The grounds were kept and spacious. Plenty of parking on site, beautiful area. Lots of food nearby, beach access nearby, plenty to do even if one does not play golf. My wife loved it so we will plan a return trip in our near future!"
