"Starting with what we disliked the most, it would be the checkout experience. We booked a hospitality room for taking a shower before our flight and when we got there it was a total mess. Clearly the previous family had just left the room and they gave us the key without any cleaning whatsoever. Towels and water all over the floor, no soap, etc. Brought this up to the guy at frontdesk and he says something like “cleaning would have been nice” with a totally “could’t care less” attitude as he...

"Beautiful but far from ocean. It was weird that that they didn’t provide beach chairs when asked. They sent us to another hotel to rent them. That doesn’t sound like a vacation property to me."

"This property is BEAUTIFUL. We stayed in the Bougainvillea building on the 1st floor corner room, where our ground floor patios faced the side edge of the pool, but also faced the gorgeous abundant mountain range. This was technically a “garden view room,” but it’s almost impossible to have a bad view anywhere at this resort, I imagine. "This property perhaps is best appreciated by thinking of it as a 'condo ' rather than a posh resort. Very well run, clean, close attention to detail, free parking, loaner beach gear etc. If you are expecting water slides and a lazy river...no. Medium sized pool w/ hot tub that we rarely shared w/ anyone. Do note that the upstairs neighbors were loud -- early (4 and 5 am) in spite of 'quiet time'. We complained once and then let it go... Great home base to Hanalei and local beaches. "

"This is an awesome property right on the beach, close to snorkeling with onsite laundry and pool! They also have complimentary shuttle service to nearby beaches and the Hanalei village which is super convenient. Loved the experience!"

"I like the high ceiling of the sleeping area / living area because we are only 2 people. We don't need the sleeping sofa. The back yard has a lot of trees. You can watch from inside the different birds flying from trees to balcony."

"This property was clean and the view from the unit was nice with ocean in the distance. The property managers were very responsive too. Nice to have resort amenities like clean beach towels and access with nice pool. Just note there's still additional daily resort and parking fees and taxes on top of what's paid through VRBO. Minor, the TV reception is not very stable and some days there were no good receptions/channels avail, and the tiny shampoo and conditioner bottles were not enough to last...

"Ein wenig in die Jahre gekommenes Quartier. Es wird insbesondere bei Geschirr und Gebrauchsmitteln nicht sonderlich auf Sauberkeit geachtet. Auch das versprochene Strandequipment ist in die Jahre gekommen, verklebt oder erst garnicht benutzbar. Wir hatten dennoch eine gute Zeit und sagen Danke!"

"Great studio style apartment for 1 or 2 folks. No A/C but the outside breeze and fans did the trick for our stay in November. "

"Wonderful place to stay! We loved that they provided everything we needed for beach days and we didn’t have to rent things! The bed was super comfortable, the neighborhood was quiet and walkable to hideaway beach (just over a mile). We also loved that we were able to cook some of our meals. Host was extremely accommodating and responsive! Would book again!"
